My self-summary
NYC, you must have a special plan for me. This will be the third time that I wash up on your shore. It is July 2014 and I'm in the process of moving back to NYC from San Francisco with extended stays in Miami and Geneva. In fact, I haven't called you home since 2006. Excited about this next chapter!

Made in the holy land by parents from the land of tango, asado and alfajores, molded and developed in JFK's hometown. Spent 5 of my adult years studying/living/working abroad immersed in foreign cultures and tongues. These experiences have shaped the person I am today. Thrive in new environments. Described as a polyglot. Que te puedo decir, languages open doors to passageways of expression and precious life experiences.

Feel grounded and whole when immersed in the natural world. Besides my love for camping, hiking, backpacking, exploring, I'm an avid scuba-diver, alpine skier, half marathoner and triathlete. Avid is the optimal word. I'm not OCD in any of the above.

If you have a good soul, big heart and a bit of wit, feel free to say hi!
What I’m doing with my life
I gravitate to where the magic happens. That sweet spot outside the comfort zone where you're pushing yourself in new ways and developing as a person. I love community, connection and being around people who know how to be truly present and don't take life for granted.

In my previous life, I worked as an int'l private banker in NYC, Geneva, Miami working with clients in Israel, Argentina, and Mexico. No, I'm not a stiff finance/banking dude! In fact, I'd more describe myself as a financial psychotherapist. I loved hearing people's stories and playing the role of trusted confident.

That being said, I moved out to Bay Area to shake the cage, change the paradigm and expose myself to new thoughts, people and ideas centered fundamentally on making a positive and sustainable change in this world. I'm definitely a dreamer (didn't Steve Jobs once describe the dreamers as the crazy ones that actually change the world?) but I do try and keep it real and keep a pragmatic toe touching the ground so the dreamer doesn't let me float completely away :-) 🎈

I very recently (July 2014), accepted a job at a renewable energy company where I'll be helping expand their growth in Latin America.
I’m really good at
Foreign languages, finding great adventures, making people laugh, playing with kids, listening and making people feel comfortable and appreciated, animated story telling, daydreaming while strolling through Farmer's Markets. Also regarded as a connector of sorts. Enjoy bringing people together.
The first things people usually notice about me
Engaging, deep sense of curiosity, sense of humor, smile
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Recent Books: Mission In A Bottle, Raising The Bar, Born To Run, Buddha, Clean, The Road, Let My People Go Surfing, The Art of Racing in the Rain, Alive, Flow by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi is amazing! Steinbeck, Hemingway, Hermann Hess, Leon Uris still love. You can usually find 5-10 books by my bedside.

Music: Love music! Since arriving to SF last summer I saw SF Symphony in Dolores Park, Lumineers, Farke Toure, Fela Kuti, Jimmy Cliff, Mother Hips, Rebirth, Warren Haynes w/SF Symphony, Phish, Further, Dark Star Orchestra, Idan Raichel Project, Josh Ritter, Pato Banton, Jackie Green, Sean Hayes, Stu Allen (to name a few). Also enjoyed a few afternoon/evenings at Terrapin Crossroads. I also pretty regularly attend The Moth StorySlam's in the city. Looking fw to seeing great music in NYC!

Shows: I currently don't own a tv but when I did I enjoyed watching Curb, Seinfeld, Daily Show, TED Talks, Discovery Channel -- listening to NPR.

Movies: Documentaries, smart/fun movies across the spectrum. You could also just put me in front of The Living Earth series in HD and I just drool at the beauty of our amazing planet.

Food: EVERYTHING local and organic. Feel happy and excited at farmer's markets. That being said, I have no allergies, dietary constraints and love all kinds of food.
