My self-summary
I think this site would be a lot more interesting if, instead of this nebulous "my self-summary" box, you had to lead with "why I'm single." Can you imagine it? Madness!

Yet I think it has potential. So I'm going to go out on a limb and write my answer to that question.

Why I'm single: I try to keep an open mind about most things, but I think I still probably have too many preconceptions about dating and relationships. I need to get out of my comfort zone when it comes to meeting potential matches. I just need to find the right someone who will get me to do that!

Or maybe that's a faulty preconception too.
What I’m doing with my life
I work at a tech startup in the Loop. In my downtime, I do street photography and produce music that has been described as "Daft Punk hugging kittens."

I also volunteer to help feed the hungry. I love food and don't want others to go without it.
I’m really good at
A variety of British accents. Identifying typefaces... especially if they're Helvetica.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm either being really quiet or I just won't shut up.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
William Gibson, Alfonso Cuarón, Naoki Urasawa, Alison Goldfrapp, and anything Indian.

On a related note, there's this Anneli Drecker music video you absolutely have to see.
The six things I could never do without
A camera with an f/1.8 lens
Spotify
A MIDI keyboard
EVOO
Goat cheese
Trader Joe's to get more goat cheese and EVOO
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Correlation and causation.
On a typical Friday night I am
At a gallery opening, at an experimental music performance, drinking responsibly with friends, or maybe just reading at home.

Ok, by reading at home, I mean watching Netflix.

And by watching Netflix, I mean browsing the menu (you know how it goes).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
You and I both know that's what the questions section is for.
You should message me if
You aren't afraid to, on occasion, step from the comfortable shelter of post-modern sarcasm to dance in the rain of sincerity. But you also go back in before you get soaked.
