My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've always liked a good story. This has gotten me into all kinds of trouble.

I have wanderlust like you wouldn't believe. It's taken me to all of the continents - even the one covered in ice and penguins. I sure like coming home though.

I'm an entrepreneur. This means that I'm a dreamer, a doer, and like life to be a little outside of the box.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm at a startup that makes a really neat cooking device for a method called sous vide. In my spare time I dabble with writing, welding, running, yoga, playing outside, cooking, and surfing (when I'm lucky).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being bad at karaoke. Laughing. Versatility.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Steinbeck is my soulmate. "Oh the Places You'll Go" is my comfort book. "You Are Here" was a game changer. Cookbooks are a guilty pleasure. And I have a giant stack of Lonely Planet books that I can't seem to let go of.

Movies: I'm not very cool in this category.

TV: I pretty much quit in the 90s

Music: Yes!

Food: Dinner parties are one of my all time favorite things. I'm a vegetarian (but a cool one). I'm very passionate about quality food but won't ever say no to a 2 a.m. street vendor (veggie) hot dog.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
People I love, adventure, zest (the kind in life, not on a lemon), laughter, the sea, exercise
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
- Being present
- Fun and how to have more of it
- Things that are funny
- People and what makes them tick
- How much there is to be grateful for
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I like Friday nights spent curled up in a warm blanket under the stars. I like Friday nights that makes me shake my head on a Saturday morning. I like Friday nights spent dancing around the kitchen in my pajamas while making pasta. I like Friday nights debating new ideas over old whiskey.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Sometimes (okay often) I start my day blaring "Valerie" (my name) by Steve Windwood and dancing around the house triumphantly.

You're happy and committed to living a great life. I have a terrible weakness for smart creative types.
