My self-summary
Hello Hello,

I work as a museum educator. I am really passionate about history, science and culture and objects that can convey a moving story.

I cook almost everyday and always strive to be authentic. I love hiking, canoeing and soaking up every ounce of sun I can. With a new job for the summer I'll have to make due with lounging in one of prospect parks meadows, checking out the waterfront or strolling across the bridge though. Still great options if not as grand as I'd like.

I've gotten into the Burner scene in the last few years and have found an incredible community that encourages self authenticity, participation, creativity and sharing experience.
What I’m doing with my life
I work full time but I'm still up and out late every night hanging with friends, at my local dive or partying till sunrise.
I’m really good at
I'm a good friend. I'm considerate and empathetic, nonjudgmental and patient. I have a reasonable and logical answer to any question posed to me but am brave enough to admit when I'm wrong.
The first things people usually notice about me
Big smile, big eyes, big mouth, big heart, big... ahem never mind. I'm kinda short though.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I read a lot of nonfiction. Science, history medicine, social, good/real journalism. Also a lot of historical fiction and some fantasy and sci-fi on occasion if they're classics or not to be missed.

Shows? Umm I watch more TV than movies but I'm really not a huge fan. I've got my Sunday night lineup though. If I'm just flipping on a random night I usually land on History, National Geographic, Food or PBS even CSPAN lately.

Music maybe be the toughest here. Hmm I basically grew up listening to 90's hard rock, got into classic rock and metal. Ive always had a soft spot for jam bands and the dead from my summers in Canada. I have always listened to hip hop, I am a BK native ya know. Lately though all I really listen to is eclectic deeply layered house with organic beats, chillout music with groovy eastern rhythms lots of tablas, djembe and strings. Oh and ultra fire deep sexy techno that just makes you have to move.

Food! Ahh! Cooking, eating, creating and trying new things is a serious passion and food is often an easy and satisfying way to scratch that itch. Food adventures have lead me to many unexpected places and I've never regretted one experience.
The six things I could never do without
-My friends - They're like family but I also get kind of antsy if I don't do something social every day.

-Books - On top of reading for work and school I always have a novel on hand and a stack of magazines on deck.

-New foods - Trying new foods is an easy adventure in NYC.

-Natural things - I really need to feel the sun, wind, rain or whatever may be on my face everyday. I'm the type to take my shoes and socks off in the park and too plunge my hands into the dirt just for a feel.

-Caffeine - I used to only drink tea but have realized coffee works so much better and the flavor can be just as nuanced.

-Enrichment - I am a firm believer in learning something new everyday and trying something new everyday even if its a random wiki fact and a song I've never heard.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Music, nature and the environment, science and history, etymology, geography and geology, my relationships with friends and my relationship with myself.
On a typical Friday night I am
Runs the gambit from lounging at home, going out to dinner, hitting my favorite bars or partying hard at a club or party.
