My self-summary
Silly. Quirky. Dancer. Lover. Hiker. And so much more. Genderfabulous queerdo here. Sippin tequila and trying not to take myself or this crazy, wonderful, mixed-up world too seriously. Making strange faces is one of my faaaavorite things, for sure. :P
What I’m doing with my life
Dancing, dreaming, living, loving, exploring music, travel, community organization and social (de)construction. Yup! The works. :) I'm going interesting places, that much is for sure.
I’m really good at
Massage, performance art, communicating frankly, contra dancing, research, wall sits, stir fry, cross stitch, coming up with clever rhymes and rhythms, singing, reading, writing.
The first things people usually notice about me
It varies from person to person, of course - but my smile tends to get more comments than anything else upon first meeting me. Also my overalls. People seem to find those fascinating.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - A Brave New World, V For Vendetta, Stranger in a Strange Land, the Hitchhiker's Trilogy, The Chronicles of Narnia, Island Beneath the Sea, Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World, Beloved, 1984, and stuff by Barbara Kingsolver and Kurt Vonnegut

Movies - V for Vendetta, Dear Frankie, Benny and Joon, Edward Scissorhands, Hot Fuzz, Fight Club, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Moulin Rouge, The Switch, The Princess Bride

Shows - Much like drinking, watching TV is something that I only do socially. I do enjoy House, though. Sherlock and Firefly are also BOSS.

Music - Nickel Creek, Vampire Weekend, Sufjan Stevens, Shooglenifty, Martyn Bennett, Perpetual e-Motion, The Weepies, Regina Spektor...basically a mix of indie, folk, and contemporary bluegrass.

Food - Anything but celery. God I hate celery...raw onions are also not my favorite thing. But I sure do love water.
The six things I could never do without
Okay, you know what? Instead of six things I could never do without (which gets boring because let's face it - almost everyone puts the SAME BASIC THINGS), I'm gonna put down 6 quirky conversation-starters. Ready?

1) I absolutely LOVE rainbows. Crazy about 'em. And not the funky, weirdly-shaded ones with, like, teal and pink and maroon and lavender. ROYGBIV. S'where it's AT.

2) My grandparents are both Presbyterian ministers. Go figure.

3) I like to dig holes and climb trees. One summer a friend and I dug a 6-foot-deep, 4-foot-in-diameter hole in my backyard, cutting through the red clay with shovels and a mattock, and began a tunnel in the side of it that was two feet tall and wide, ran three feet into the earth, and would have gone farther if we'd had the patience and the time. Additionally, I have had sex in a treehouse.

4) I am currently in a committed (but sexually open) triad with a man who loves to paint ( zydeco4 ) and a woman who loves to swashbuckle ( ColorTwirl ). Hellz to the yes, I am inCREDibly lucky.

5) I spend a sizeable amount of my time reading and studying at a local coffee shop. What of it?

6) Things that get me every time: the picking of stringed instruments...and exquisitely energetic contra dances.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Philosophical weirdness, the future, humanity, and the meaning of life. Or, well, rather - the question. Because we all know that the answer is 42.
On a typical Friday night I am
Doing homework, reading a book, adventuring with friends and/or strangers, or dancing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Finally decided to take this question seriously. Things I most fear? There are three: failure, rejection, and hypodermic needles. Want more private things? Well. You'll just have to ask.
