My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Nearly 26 years ago I was born in the far away land of California, but I decided to move to the DC area when I was one, so technically I'm a DC native. I am deeply fascinated and passionate about a lot of things, from technology to the arts. Get me started on a subject and I can nerd out for quite a bit, I've a strong appreciation for good conversation.

Also I'm a superhero in training, I find great joy in helping people and saving kittens from trees.

For anyone curious, ENFP on the Myers Briggs scale.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Outside of work my main hobby is powerlifting, running, and generally being active. I'd like to pick up some new hobbies, yoga for example would be awesome, or fixing up my mountain bike and hitting the trails. In my downtime I enjoy video games and Netflix.

Inside of work I'm a software engineer working with the federal government. A huge upside to working downtown is being able to head to museums for lunch and catching shows after work, I'm a big fan of exploring U-Street.

I've been contemplating starting a punk rock band for fun, let's see if it'll happen. I am looking for band name suggestions, have you got one for me?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I've been told many times that I'm a great dancer. I used to practice Latin dancing but it's just always been in my blood to dance. My pops says I get it from him.

I have this uncanny ability to take food things, mix it with other food things, and come out with something delicious. My friends generally look to me when stomachs start to growl.

Figuring out what acronyms stand for.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My old roommate described me as a "human dynamo" that was "eternally optimistic" shortly after meeting me for the first time, people tend to say something along those lines.

"Do you play rugby? You look like you play rugby." I've heard that more than once, one time during a job interview.

I'm not sure if I look like it, but I can be pretty damn nerdy. If you unlock a topic I'm passionate about you'll see that.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books:The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Douglas Adams could make anything exciting. Also, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Movies: Top three favorite movies off the top of my head are Man on Fire, Dumb and Dumber, and The Prestige.

Television: I don't watch much TV but I do peruse Netflix on occasion. Usually if I'm watching TV it's for sports.

Music: Recently I've been mostly addicted to the ambient/electronic sounds of musicians like Bonobo, Four Tet, and Burial. I enjoy all kinds of tunes though, my iPod is all over the place. I saw Thundercat and Flying Lotus in October, that show changed my life.

Food: I love food. All food. I don't pick favorites, and I am not prejudiced towards any cuisine. I do prefer eating anything with chopsticks though, it's just a little extra fun.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A good pair of shoes.

Music.

Daydreaming

Fitness

Soccer

Confidence in my personal value.

If you'd like to know more about any of these just ask!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What breed of dog will I get someday?

Be it physically or mentally, how can I improve myself?

How can I make the world a better place? I'm always thinking of the little things I can do to improve the lives of those around me. I'm hoping for a butterfly effect type of thing to kick in and usher in world peace. Care to flap with me?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Catching a show or hitting up a bar, otherwise I'm puffing on a hookah and grilling food with friends. (Yes, I'm the one who makes the food, it's kind of my bag).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I had a fear of the dark up until I was in my 20s. As a little kid my sister and cousins used to tell me all kinds of scary stories; that plus an overactive imagination growing up was bad news bears.
