I am just a student getting ready to move from an undergraduate to a doctorate program. Although I'm pretty smart and often dress nice, you'll find I'm one of the goofiest people you'll meet. I love talking to people with similar interests or sense of humor, ranging from politics to the plethora of useless pop culture knowledge that I possess. I like going to bars, concerts, and staying in and watching TV or playing music with some good friends.

I am also a huge music geek and can go on and on (and on) about a particular song, album, artist etc. that means something to me which can be both a good and bad thing. Ask me what I think of the band Slint if you want to listen to me do a one hour monologue.

I'm pretty academically serious (even though I secretly hate it). Finishing up college this semester with a degree in speech, language, and hearing sciences with a minor in cognitive neuroscience. I plan to go on to a doctorate program to become an audiologist next fall. I also work at a neuroscience research lab during the week and plan to do some volunteer work with an animal shelter over the summer. Also, I'll be forming a new band in the future. I play lead guitar..n

Making jokes. I believe even the most serious conversations need to have some jokes in them. I'm great at writing musical pieces...but I just have trouble finishing them. I'm also quite proud of doing extremely well in college thus far.

Probably that I'm either wearing a blazer or cardigan all the time. It's rare to not see me wearing either of these.

Books: normally horror, humor, or related to music. slaughterhouse five, 1984, I am America (And So Can You). And to ensure you of my nerd status, I'll indulge in comics every now and then but I sadly, rarely have the time for that nowadays.

For movies, I 'm up for anything but i particularly enjoy comedy and making fun of terrible movies. I'll also proudly admit that Good Burger is still one of my favorite films.

TV: Workaholics, Arrested Development, Daily Show, Colbert, Breaking Bad, Impractical Jokers, MST3k, old Simpsons, Kids in the Hall, Community, Parks and Rec, and old sitcoms I really shouldn't still be watching.

I listen to a lot of music so I'll just list some favorites. I am really into a lot of more instrumental rock, especially post-rock, but also math and surf. I also love garage, doo wop, noise, indie, shoegaze, punk, and progressive. My music taste is eclectic but I'd hardly claim to "listen to everything." Pixies, Man or Astro-Man?, Don Caballero, Slint, Place to Bury Strangers, Killers, Modest Mouse, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Storm & Stress, Do Make Say Think, Battles, They Might Be Giants, Shellac, Coachwhips, My Bloody Valentine, The Jesus Lizard...the list goes on and on.
