Hello and welcome to my (hopefully not too awkward) profile!

For starters my last name is Rude, thus the ridiculous and/or possibly misleading screen name. Moved to Seattle from NYC about 2 years ago where I was living the cliche' as a starving performer serving tables. Before that I worked on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines singing and making sure guests were having a good time. I was born and raised in Montana, but am torn between the awesome wilderness lifestyle and awesomely nerdy things.

I have a 5 year old nephew, who is perhaps the most amazing person I've ever met. Whenever I get the chance; I love to goof around with him, spoil him, and teach him horrible habits... Like any good uncle should do, right?

I'm a pretty huge fan of the arts; be it music, painting, theater or what have you. I've done it all from musicals, plays, opera, choirs, even improv and I loved it all. I guess I'm just a sucker for making sure others have a good time.

So I like video games, but that doesn't mean that I follow any of those ridiculous stereotypes that instantly popped into your head (for shame). I'm very outgoing, love the outdoors, I enjoy playing sports, and won't stayed glued to a TV/Computer if there's a reason not to be.

I just moved back to Vancouver/Portland area from Seattle. Both to be closer to family/friends and also to go back to school and get my Masters at PSU. If you're open minded and genuine, enjoys a good board game, a great conversation at a coffee shop, or just hanging out watching a movie (or better yet Arrested Development) we'd get along splendidly.

I'm a bit of a wanderer, and randomly I'm prone to drive places. Be it Portland, Spokane, Tri-cities, Montana, etc. that usually keeps me occupied until I can do a more extravagant trip. Always a fan of adventure companions.

I just got a job serving tables... Not the most extravagant, but I get great moneys from the tips. It's also a great way to keeping making money as I work on getting my Masters at PSU.

- Being an Uncle... scratch that an AWESOME Uncle.

- Protecting the world from: Zombies, Nazis, Aliens, Monsters, Satan, Robots, and/or overly eager evil-genius gerbils.
- Procrastination...

I've recently been called on my nice teeth... which was an odd compliment. Other than that people usually notice I'm singing, smiling, ranting about one thing or another and generally being a goofball.

Just finished reading The Night Angel trilogy by Brent Weeks. Absolutely amazing series, and can't recommend it enough.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Shawshank Redemption, Office Space, The Princess Bride, Star Wars...episodes 4-6 (Empire being my favorite)... I'm just a sucker for puppet yoda I guess, old horror movies. Braeveheart, anything by: Mel Brooks (top being Blazing Saddles), Monty Python (top being Holy Grail), and a lot more. seriously... kind of a movie addict, I'd seek help, but... who'd want to stop?

Shows:
Way too many... but a few that stand out are The Office, Arrested Development, Modern Family, Supernatural... and a lot more... Favorite new show? Happy Endings. True it sounds like a cheap porno, but watch an episode on Hulu, its amazing.

Music: So, my music tastes are very eclectic. These are a just a few: ANYTHING by Maynard James Keenan, Nirvana, Alice and Chains, Otis Redding, Frank Sinatra, The Shins, Cake, Michael Buble, Ben Folds, Beatles, Queen, Journey, Deathcab, Flight of the Conchords, Jamie Cullum, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johnny Cash, Led Zeppelin, Radiohead, and a lot more... Recently have been listening to Gogol Bordello but also always up to new music if you have something new/awesome you think I'd might like.

It would be a far smaller list if I was to list things I didn't like... but highlights are Thai food. Steaks, BACON!, Pizza, Nachos, Mexican, I make this amazing breaded chicken fillet with peas and wild rice pilaf.

I'm also a proud self proclaimed game nerd. Be it amazing/unique board games or video games (PC and console)... If you want to talk games, I'm always up for that. I just don't want to bore anyone that's not enthusiastic about games :)

Who knows? I might be working, grabbing a drink, playing board games with friends, playing computer games, snuggled up watching netflix, out on the town?

That being said, It all depends on whats going on... I might gamble a crappy morning of work for an amazing night out the previous night.
