My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am living alone and interested in meeting new people. I was married for 4 and a half years, but am now divorced. I'll gladly talk about that with anyone, don't hesitate to ask. I think it's important to learn from my own mistakes and hope that my mistakes and experiences can help others. I like to have fun, and really enjoy getting to know people on a more than superficial basis. I love being outside, particularly in the summer and am a huge fan of camping and outdoor sports. I have developed a renewed interest in dancing recently, though I think I'm terrible at it, and look for opportunities to dance frequently. I love hanging out with people and having a group of friends who do things together regularly. I also like video games a lot, but would usually rather be hanging out with people than playing them by myself.

I am compassionate, kind, and intelligent
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am working as an in-home mental health skill worker with children with severe emotional disturbances. I'm working on earning my license as a marriage and family therapist.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cooking, apparently. I don't love to cook, but I love to have people enjoy what I make. I don't usually use recipes, but things seem to turn out pretty well most of the time. Growing facial hair.

My facial hair. It's not their fault, though, I'm usually doing something strange with it.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I like varied types of books, but mostly read sci-fi or fantasy, particularly books byOrson Scott Card, Stephen King, R. A. Salvatore, and H. P. Lovecraft. My favorite movies are the Star Wars original trilogy, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, High Fidelity, the Princess Bride, anything by Tim Burton, and Armageddon. I know it's cheesy, but I bawled, I also cried when Samwise jumped into the river to chase Frodo even though he couldn't swim. My music tastes are extremely eclectic, and I have at least some of every genre in my collection. I don't usually listen to rap, hip-hop, or straight country, though I do listen to less specifically defined music that fits in all three categories. I'm going out frequently to listen to new local bands or my current favorites, many of whom can be heard on The Current. Some of my favorites right now are VNV Nation, Communist Daughter, Mumford and Sons, Phantogram, Dieselboy, David Bowie, Dessa, Infected Mushroom, and Trash 80. I love to try new foods, and it is rare for me to find something I don't like. Currently I particularly like Thai food and Sushi. I make an amazing Tom Yum Goong or at least that's what I thought it was, though all of the ones I see online don't have coconut milk in them. So my favorite Thai food is perhaps not Thai, just something I made up that tastes like it is.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What's going on this evening, and how can I make more money without doing any more work.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out drinking with a group of friends, either at a bar or at one of my friends' house.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have about 20 different versions of the song Popcorn on my computer, and I could listen to them all back to back without ever getting tired of it. It is also my ringtone. My old roommate wanted to kill me because of this song.
