I've lived in Japan, England, and Chile and still have the travel bug. I like most types of music, visiting historic and Civil War sites, going to museums, art galleries, movies, theater, dancing. I exercise several times a week and try to eat well. I like learning new things, so I'm usually taking a couple of classes from the community college or at the local senior center. I'm a new member of the county birding society. Want to learn to do the two-step and/or the hustle.
While I enjoy a degree of independence, I want to share life with that special someone. I would really like a travel buddy too. I even like camping. Any aging Boy Scouts out there?
What I’m doing with my life
I have been retired for several years. I have put travel at the top
of my list, but sure could use a travel buddy. I am walking with a
nice group 3 times a week, going to classes (Pilates, History,
Asian Art) given by the community college, visiting DC and the
Smithsonian from time to time, dancing on Friday nights, day trips
with the college or the local senior center.
I’m really good at
I can do a lot of things a little bit - a mile wide and an inch
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile and that I don't take a good picture.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love reading but don't have a favorite. I have a few books on my bedside table now, all fiction. But I've been reading about WW I lately because of a history class I'm taking.
I really like movies and often go to the classic cinema at a local theater. I loved The Imitation Game and the one about Steven Hawking.
I love musicals. I just saw Motown in New York. It was great.
No food snob here. I will eat just about anything.
The six things I could never do without
Family, friends, computer, TV, books, and you!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Travel: my next adventure.
Meeting a nice guy.
Eating a healthy diet.
Getting enough exercise.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends at a dance, watching TV, or reading a good book.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm better in person.
You should message me if
You don't smoke.
Are not addicted to alcohol or drugs.
Are not currently in a relationship.
