I am creative, adventurous, and funny.
My Self-Summary
I am a graduate student studying pursuing an MA in Literature at
the University of Kentucky in Lexington. When I am not studying and
writing, I like to go adventuring! I like adventures in pretty much
all forms—bike rides, hiking, camping, traveling. It all works for
me. I love to be outside. I’ve been playing guitar since I was
about 14 and still love to make music. I think singing is
therapeutic and wonderful (even though I’m not the best). I like to
make things in general, actually. Ceramics, knitting (very manly,
yes), painting, cooking…mmm…cooking…
Anyway, family is very important to me. Mine always has been close,
and remains so. What else…? Sometimes, I let my hair grow kind of
long, and sometimes I cut it. Sometimes I like dressing up, and
sometimes I don’t. I intend to be a teacher, and will always be
creative in some way. I’ve lived in big cities (Chicago) and in
some truly rural areas (20 min. drive to even a gas station), and
like and dislike certain things about both. Also, I love the ocean.
I’d like to live near water of some kind, eventually—whether it’s a
lake, river, or sea.
What I’m doing with my life
Really just going to school at the moment. I want to teach when I
am done--I've just always felt called to it. Oh, and I love to buy
savings bonds. Mmmm, savings bonds...
I’m really good at
Yikes! Well, people tell me I am pretty good at guitar. I don't
know, I think I used to be better. Oh well! People seem to like my
poetry, too. I have a weird knack for doing ceramics on the wheel,
but this is NOT the case with hand building! I think I am good at
being involved with my family and letting people who are important
to me know that I care about them. I like to give random gifts.
The first things people usually notice about me
Physically? I guess it's my hair...
My favorite books, movies, music, and food

David Bowie, Arcade Fire, Jay-Z, Regina Spektor, Van Morrison,

Clapton (Derek and the Dominoes, etc.,) The Eagles, Garth Brooks,
Miles Davis, Chopin's Nocturnes...sigh...I love me some Chopin

not Christian.

love hummus, falafel, oh, and Italian food! I love burgers and
fries, hot dogs, pizza...mmm...I really just love food. As long as
it doesn't have tentacles or more than about four legs (or less
than two), I will probably eat it.
The six things I could never do without
Assuming that things like "Family" and "Friends" and "Love" are
granted, then my list would look something like:
1) A guitar
2) Coffee
3) Adventure
4) Theater/Movies
5) Mexican Food
6) Poetry
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The choices I have yet to make.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

You should message me if
You want to!
