I am here to see what this is all about but I am NOT looking for a relationship or anything other than friends. I am engaged and getting married next summer. I don't do flings either, so please don't ask.
I expect to take a lot of quizzes/tests, which doesn't bother me since I actually like doing those things. I have a collection of around 50 rubber duckies, all of which have names. What can I say? Everyone's got a hobby, mine is rubber ducky collection. I am endlessly fascinated by medicine and biology, and like helping people--there's a reason I became a nurse! :)
I'm a little bit of a nerd; I like learning, reading, some video games, RPGs, etc. I grew up a band kid too, so don't knock it. I like media (written and visual) with sci-fi, fantasy, and/or medical themes. Yup, I'm one of those type of chicks.
In all seriousness I'd like to meet some like-minded people. Everyone could always use a few more friends. However, if your idea of a good time is going out clubbing and/or drinking, count me out. Been there, done that and it was never really my thing anyway. If you're more into intellectual discourse, coffee shops, bookstores, outdoor activities, indoor rock climbing, board games, or anything I mentioned that I like, cool. Message me and we can chat.

I'm a girl that you can actually approach. People seem surprised by this somehow. I'm honestly very laid-back and people remark on this all the time. Other than that, I guess people haven't necessarily told me what they first noticed about me.

Books: If it's sci-fi, fantasy, medical, or a crime thriller, I will probably like it. Some of my favorite authors are Jean M. Auel (Clan of the Cave Bear series), Terry Pratchett, Michael Swanwick, Kim Harrison, Kurt Vonnegut, Dean Koontz, Laurell K. Hamilton, Michael Crichton, Robin Cook, Tannith Lee.

Movies: I like most anything. Some of my favs: The Matrix, T-2, the Die Hard movies, Crash, Kill Bill 1 and 2, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, A Beautiful Mind, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Spaceballs, Fried Green Tomatoes, The Game, The American President, Air Force One, Blood Diamond, Ocean's Eleven, Ocean's Twelve...etc!

Music: again, I like just about everything. However, I have little tolerance for rap (except some 90s rap or white boy rap) or country (some "pop" country is ok). I mostly listen to any kind of rock, alternative, and a smattering of whatever's on the "popular" station.

Food: I like meat. I respect vegetarianism/veganism, and I really do like most fruits and veggies, but couldn't do it myself. I might be able to live without red meat, but I gotta have chicken. It's just too tasty and versatile for me to go without it. I could eat breakfast food almost anytime; IHOP is one of my fav places.
