My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I have a very fulfilling job in the medical industry developing software. Yea I know, it's not directly related to patients, but the stuff I write directly affects the quality of their care. With that in mind, it's extremely rewarding when I get to see how the solutions I have been working on get used to track and treat patients. It can/is definitely strenuous at times, since our clients never go to sleep, but I enjoy it. I kinda feel like I'm killing two birds with one stone. I get to do what I'm passionate about, and help save lives while I'm at it. Give me the chance I'll talk your ear off about the industry and technology.

I'd like to consider myself as a very straight-forward person, but also pretty laid back. My friends and work colleagues say that I'm easy to get along with and they enjoy me being in their company. I do tend to go with the flow, but will hammer down when it's necessary to get the job done. I'm pretty indecisive when it comes to "out-of-the-house" activities.. it's not that I don't like going out, just that the activity doesn't matter so long as I have someone to laugh and smile with.

It would probably be an understatement to say that I love music. I have a pretty serious stereo system (more than most people would want to spend on such things) and hugely enjoy relaxing at home after a long day at work to some vinyl. It really does a lot to the mend the soul. Some may say that vinyl is old-school but those people haven't heard it proper yet. It's truly enlightening to listen to.

The nerd side of me. I'm love tinkering with computers and I do play video games occasionally; I watch anime and read manga. I enjoy going to renaissance festivals when I get the chance.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have a very definite view of where I want to be in 5+ years and I'm working my ass off to get there sooner than later. In addition to my career aspirations, I'm just now beginning to explore other avenues that I've always wanted to check out, like traditional archery.

I'm just trying to have a good time and would love to be able to share that with another given the chance :)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'd really like to say that if I put my mind to it, I can be good at just about anything. That said, I'd like to think I'm pretty good at (off the top of my head):
~listening to and helping others
~computers and programming
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
How easy going/laid back I am.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Book: I'm gonna be honest, not much of a reader. Of the books I have read, my favorite is by far "Romance of the Three Kingdoms"

Movie: Favorite... that will probably have to be "V for Vendetta" or "The Last Castle". I don't think the latter really stands out for most people, but its values that it tries to instill in its viewers are what has me captivated every time.

Show: Favorite non-animated: The Big Bang Theory, Stargate (all of them, except the last 2 seasons of SG-1)
Favorite animated: This list will be a bit longer, there are so many great ones out there that would be otherwised overlooked because people don't like animated... I guess it feels fake to them?

Music: Not Country. I lean towards Indie rock/folk. Oh man, do I love it so.
Bands: Andrew Bird, Animal Collective, Beach House, Best Coast, Bipolair, Booka Shade, Broken Bells, Crystal Castles, Crystal Stilts, Daft Punk, Divine Fits, Doug Burr, Echaskech, Empire Of The Sun, Grimes, Grizzly Bear, Jon Hopkins, Little Freaky Things, Ok Go, OceanLab, Passion Pit, Phantogram, Phoenix, Professor Elemental, Purity Ring, Radiohead, Sneaker Pimps, Sølyst, Swedish House Mafia, Tangerine Dream.. the list goes on but that should give you a good idea :)

Food: Mostly anything, though I'm currently on a sushi and other japanese/thai food binge
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My computer (literally need it to get my work done lol)
2. Music
3. My car
4. family and friends
5. steak
6. I guess my phone? I'm not as attached to it as some but it's definitely nice to have.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to solve some new and challenging problem from a code perspective. I also think about the music I'm listening to often. When in the right mood, thinking about the future and where I'm going with my life.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Doing a lot of different things. Most of the time I'm enjoying a single beer and listening to vinyl. Otherwise I'm probably hanging out with friends. I usually never know until after work on friday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'd be lying if I said nothing, but I can't remember anything right now =[
