I'm a very energetic and optimistic guy who likes to laugh and
enjoys being romantic (in all the senses of the word). I'm smart,
sensitive, outgoing, and in the best shape of my life.
My full list of passions and hobbies is very long. So here's the
short version: Yoga,
softball,
astronomy,
piano, cooking, writing.
The right person for me will be outgoing, active, smart, funny,
passionate, curious, and positive. Looks aren't everything, but
they are something. So my partner and I need to evoke that body and
soul "something" that makes our eyes lock and hearts beat
faster.
I like imagination in romance, I enjoy giving gifts, and I love
thinking of fun gestures of my feelings. I like sharing affection

The first thing(s) people usually notice about me
Probably the first thing people notice is my smile. I tend to find
something pleasant or amusing in most circumstances.
Over time, my imagination and sensitivity seem to be more noticed (and sometimes even appreciated!).
I've also been told I have deep, penetrating eyes. (Actually, I have a deep, penetrating psyche, but my eyes are the only part of me that can't keep a secret.)

My favorite books, movies, music, and food
The most moving book I ever read was Shogun. Mostly I read
non-fiction -- science, history. Recently I've mixed up my reading
to include an eclectic mix of David Sedaris, Holocaust topics,
Dalai Lama, classics like Lord of the Flies and a biography of Rene
Decartes.
My choice in music is mostly oldies (of one kind or another): Classical, 60's rock (Beatles, Stones, Beach Boys, etc.), and more recently I've developed a taste for southern style blues.
Food -- There's not much I don't like. I love ethnic -- Greek, Italian, Thai, Chinese, Indian, Ethiopian, Middle Eastern, Bohemian, classic American. (Less keen on Japanese, Korean.) I'm not afraid of hot, spicy food. (Ditto: hot, spicy women.) I do a decent job of cooking different foods, too.

The six things I could never do without
This "can't live without" question stumps me. "Things" are exactly
what I could do without if I needed to. I'm a very resilient person
and I could survive in a cardboard box with a bad view if I had
enough food and water. And eventually, I'd make it an upbeat
circumstance. Non-material aspects like humor, optimism, affection,
and imagination can survive in extremely thingless
environments.
