My Notes edit

My self-summary

I've just finished university and am currently enjoying a relatively stress-free existence :). My heart lies in the theatre. I love to drive alone and 'sing' along with my iPod as loudly as possible; I often think that this is best done at night because my mouth is rather cavernous and I'd prefer that people travelling in the opposite direction didn't have an unobstructed view of the back of my throat. Hearing the best bit of a song I absolutely love gives me butterflies. My mood is often influenced most heavily by people, getting along really well with someone makes me very happy.

What I'm doing with my life

Absolutely no idea - any ready-made plans are welcome (I'm still a lazy student at heart).

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I'm more of a fan of plays if I can count them as books...my favourites are American: Tony Kushner's Angels in America, anything I've read so far by Sam Shepard and Edward Albee, and Eugene O'Neill and Tennessee Williams in smaller doses. In terms of novels I do like George Orwell, Iain Banks' The Wasp Factory and A Clockwork Orange, ooh and Zofloya by Charlotte Dacre and what I've read of Frankenstein.

My taste in films depends on my mood, the ones I like which I think are actually good are The Lives of Others, Marvin's Room, Sleepers (even though it goes on a bit), American History X, Dead Poets Society and one I saw the last 20 minutes of once, I think it was called Wit - can anyone help me out? That said, I really love The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Spiderman and Stage Beauty, and when I want chick flicks it has to be Legally Blonde, Mona Lisa Smile, Enchanted or The Devil Wears Prada (mainly for Meryl Streep, my favourite line is "by all means move at a glacial pace, you know how that thrills me" - if I can use that in an appropriate context just once in my life I will be delighted. I'm easily pleased).

The six things I could never do without

Musicals, films, lovely people, Hawes & Curtis shirts, literature, variations on Coke (depending on which phase I'm in, at the moment it's cans of Coca Cola and glass bottles of Diet Coke).

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Wishing I could sing/act/dance. The future. The good old days. Ovid. Food. Wondering how to starch a collar.
