My Self-Summary
What I’m doing with my life
I’m really good at
The first things people usually notice about me
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
(B)Movies: There are tons of movies that I've never seen! I'm still a little afraid of the dark and can't really watch scary movies. I do love foreign films and independently made films, as well as romance and comedy. Movies that come to mind when I think of movies I like are: Amelie, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Secret Garden, Alice in Wonderland (both the Disney version and the live people version with Ringo Star as the Mock Turtle), Return to OZ (live version), The Phantom Tollbooth, The Nightmare Before Christmas (both the original and 3D), and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (both versions). Boy, that list was longer than I thought.
(C)Music: Pretty much everything. Mostly rock (modern [stuff coming out now] and oldies [late 40's to 60's]). My parents were born in late 40's/early 50's and I was born in the end of the 80's so I missed most of the 80's music, but I still like it.
(D)Foods: I love chocolate! Swedish Fish are really good too. I was a vegetarian for 4 years, until my nutritionist told me if I wanted to loose weight (which I needed to do) I had to start eating a little bit of light meat occasionally. I still prefer to not eat meat, but I do sometimes eat chicken or fish, and because of my family's eating habits (I live at home) I have had beef since. My favorite place to eat though is the vegetarian restaurant near me, though convincing anyone to go with me is a challenge. My best friend Adam is also a vegetarian and when he has time and the transportation is more than happy to join me.
The six things I could never do without
2. Someone else to love other than myself.
3. Words. Language, both written, spoken, and signed has become so fascinating to me that I can't imagine not having it. Communication between people and between ourselves now and ourselves in the past and the future is just vital and amazing.
4. Color. My grandfather and brother are both red-green color blind, so color and the way we see it and portray it has always interested me. I've always loved art and how we can communicate with color and how the world looks.
5. Music. I've played the piano, violin, recorder, clarinet, and bass clarinet. Primarily the clarinet and bass clarinet.
6. Food. I've had more than my fair share of battles with food, but now food and I are at peace. Now, I have a hard time finding something to order off the menu because there's so much I want instead of so much I won't allow myself to have. It was thankfully a brief battle and I won. Now, I could definitely not do without food...especially chocolate!
