I am spontaneous, charismatic, and quirky.
My Self-Summary
I was born in Chicago, but I've lived in southern California
practically all my life. I couldn't really imagine living anywhere
else; despite the high cost of living and the obsession with
celebrity that makes us elect Conan the Barbarian as our governor,
I love this place.
I'm very into performing arts. I'm a musical theater performer
(which means I sing, act and dance, if you don't know) and a
choreographer, and I enjoy spending time with people who also love
the arts. I'm learning how to direct for stage, but I'd love to sit
down with a film person and talk about how the two vernaculars
differ.
I also love language. I'm obsessed with perfecting my use of
English (and may, on occasion, attempt to perfect yours, be
warned!) and I would love to learn other tongues, too. I dabbled in
ASL, Spanish and French, but I want to explore Japanese, Romanian,
Gaelic and Welsh someday. (For you nerds out there, I've also
studied Tolkien's languages just for the fun of it.)
I'm a big fan of Disneyland, and I would love to go all the time. I
love animals, so going somewhere where I can interact with them
(pet stores, petting zoos, ranches, farms) sounds like a great time
to me! I would love to hug an elephant and pet a tiger. I dig
Japanese anime and Eddie Izzard, so an evening inside with either
of those would thrill me to no end.
I'm larger than life; I'm comfortable in my sizable skin, but I'm
working my way back down so I can pursue life with all the passion
and vigor I can muster. Stick around, and you'll witness a
transformation.
I'm looking for someone whose sense of humor meshes with mine, who
shares some common interests, who thinks staying inside and
watching a movie on a Friday night every once in a while is fun,
and who knows that honesty is always the best policy. I like older
men, anywhere from one to fifteen years older. I do not like
younger men, even if it's by a few months, unfortunately. With
girls, I'm less picky about age. Please don't be a whiny, immature
little thing, though. I hate whining. Also, distance matters to
me. If you don't live within a 20-25 mile radius of me, I doubt
I'll be too keen on meeting up. I'm a college student who lacks the
funds to fill up my gas tank twice a week, so please. Go easy on me
and don't message me if you live far away.
Also, perhaps it would behoove you to try my MatchMe Test. Good
luck. ;-)
Other than that, I'm very outgoing and open, so feel free to
message me with questions!
What I’m doing with my life
I'm still a good ol' junior college student. I attend Pasadena City
College, and I'm hoping to transfer out in a year. I've switched
majors twice: first music, then English, now musical theater.
Hoping to go to Cal-State Fullerton for a BFA, then UC Berkeley for
an MA in English and perhaps CSF again for an MFA in Musical
Theater. I work as a writing consultant at the college Writing
Center, and I choreograph the Arcadia High School show choir,
Chanteurs, and am a co-choreographer for the PCC summer musical
theater workshop.
I still live at home with parents who are kind enough to let me
stay as I struggle through college. If this throws you, sorry!
I’m really good at
Singing
Dancing
Offering a shoulder to cry on
Connect Four
Scrabble
Texting
Making horrible jokes sound funny
Criticizing awful movies
Disney Scene-It (try and beat me. I dare you.)
Making Kraft Macaroni and Cheese
Sleeping
Hugs
Meeting parents
Being double jointed
Spelling and grammar
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm very outgoing! I talk to strangers all the time.
I've also been told that people notice my ass a lot.

Hyde, Les Mis, Sunday in the Park with George, Fame, etc.)
Food: Sushi (or Japanese in general), turkey burgers, pizza, pad
thai, and few others. I'm very picky about food.
The six things I could never do without
1. A dance studio with a great sound system.
2. The smell of the air after it rains.
3. Laughter.
4. Text messages that say "I love you."
5. Mike's Hard Lemonade on a hot day.
6. Really good hugs.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Choreography. Chances are that I'm usually in the middle of a
choreographing job, so music is always running through my
head.
Sex. I'll admit it.
Wacky dreams. I have them all the time.
What exciting people I'll get to meet soon.
Self-improvement.
Alan Rickman.
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably at home watching something on my laptop or out with
friends seeing a movie or something. I'm not big on clubbing or
bar-hopping.
You know who else you should look up on a Friday night? My dear
friend,
Arbiter_of_Funk. The dude knows
his shit, so if you're up for geekin' it up someday, he's your man.
Love the guy, seriously.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I was a Girl Scout.
Whenever I go to Border's, I go to the discount/bargain books table
and buy all the erotic literature they have. $3 smut, ftw.
I adore SpongeBob Squarepants.
I sometimes secretly wish I were born Jewish.
I have been a victim of domestic violence (relationship, not
family. I love my family).
I have way too many pairs of shoes, but I only wear like three or
four of them.
I name everything. My car is Chuck Norris, my iPod is Peter, my
toothbrush is Brunhilde, and my laptop is Reginald.
I am the messiest person I've ever met.
I played YuGiOh (the card game) in high school. I still have my
deck, and I could probably beat you.
I love reading young adult fantasy books.
The first album I ever memorized every song on was Amy Grant's
"Heart in Motion" on cassette.
I have linguistic ADD. I've taken a semester of French, two years
of Spanish, and a semester of ASL. I can't seem to stick with
anything, but I wish I spoke a million languages.
I sometimes wish I were a horse. The wild kind, not the kind that
has to cater to silly humans. I would be Shadowfax.
I really don't keep up with anything on TV. I have a family with
four younger kids in it, so I may sit down and watch Nickelodeon or
Disney Channel with them every now and then, but ask me what's
going on in American Idol or True Blood (which I actually DO want
to watch), and I'll stare at you blankly.
You should message me if
Anything in this profile interested you. Please say something more
than "hi" though. I like to know that you took the time to read
what's written here. Also, proper syntax is a definite plus.
Spelling, capitalization, sentence structure: all of the above are
important to me, as odd as that may sound.
Here are some characteristics of my ideal mate, both physical and
otherwise. These are not prerequisites, just things that may score
you extra points:
- MEN ONLY: Tall, preferably 5'11 or above. I am 5'7 and I like
wearing high heels on special occasions.
- Nice teeth. I like someone who can dazzle me with his/her
smile.
- Plump lips. I'm very big on kissing, and I have plump lips
myself. Thin, bony lips tend not to mesh well with mine.
- Caucasian background. I find that I am most attracted to people
at least partially within my ethnic background. This is not to
deter you if you are not Caucasian, though! I'm open to everyone.
;)
- An interest in musical theater. It is my life, so I will be
involved in it often. I like to be able to gab about it with my
love interests.
- Nails that are taken care of. I'm a total hypocrite, because I
bite my own, but I haaaaate dirty fingernails (and super long nails
on men). They gross me out.
- Some kind of artistic talent. I prefer theater or music, but
visual art is great, too.
- Passion. Period. I can't be with someone who isn't passionate
about anything.
- Christianity is not a requirement, but respect for the fact that
I am, for all intents and purposes, a Christian (which inclues not
assuming that I'm one of those self-righteous, preach-to-passersby,
everyone-is-going-to-Hell Christians) is.
- Interest in anime is good. I'm building a collection, and I love
staying indoors and watching it.
- Must love hugs.
- I'm a cat person. Actually, I'm an animal person in general.
Allergies may pose a problem. :(
Reasons I Reserve the Right to Ignore You:
- You live more than 25 miles away.
- Our match percentage is lower than 65%.
- You confused "your" and "you're" in the message.
- You only say "hi".
- Your message contains anything related to casual sex, unless you
say "I am NOT propositioning you for casual sex."
- You have no photo on your profile, and your answers to the
profile essay questions tell me absolutely nothing about
yourself.
- Men: you are younger or shorter than I am. (Sorry. I'm just not
into it.)
- I'm not interested.
I love meeting new people, though. That last part may have made me
sound like a frigid bitch, but I'm not. Promise! Message away! :)
