My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Enthusiastic dreamer originally from New York, but now in LA... where everyone is an enthusiastic dreamer!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a web coordinator for FEARnet, an all horror cable network, which means I'm paid to watch & write about scary movies all day. Co-host a horror talk show for GeekNation. I also produce & record the official DEXTER podcast for Showtime, which means they gave me a collectible mug and everything, so life is pretty rad!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm pretty darned good at writing. Interviews being my specialty, writing music although I'm rusty now. I can alphabetize DVD's and CD's like nobody's business. I can also make a pretty mean omelette and a good cup of coffee. (Remember that for the mornings, ladies.) Mixed alcohol beverages I'm terrible at, but my roommate can make a great martini. Personally I prefer a shot of Jameson & a beer.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My award winning smile! No, that's not true... actually, whatever awesome 80's comedy themed t-shirt I'm wearing. And my eyelashes. No seriously!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Currently reading: John Dies At The End by David Wong, Warm Bodies, The Books Of Blood by Clive Barker, the Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks, ya know... to prepare for the imminent zombie Apocalypse. Poster & art books, as well as graphic novels take up my book shelf. I miss (the nearly extinct art of) movie adaptations books. (Anyone remember those?)

I love all kinds of movies but tend to go to more revival screenings over new movies. Old school horror & comedies are my faves. I dig people that can quote anything John Hughes (although bonus points for "Weird Science"!), "Princess Bride", "Summer School" or "Morgan Stewart's Coming Home". Was always hoping to meet a girl while waiting in line to get George Romero's autograph, but I don't think he's doing conventions anymore. Or maybe at the Korean movie theater because they show great stuff and that would show good taste. Teen Wolf, Karate Kid, Just One Of The Guys, 3 O'Clock High, Back To The Future and Evil Dead 2 are pretty much the best movies ever. I also dig Stanley Kubrick, John Carpenter, David Cronenberg, early Woody Allen, Ed Burns, Dario Argento, David Lynch, etc. I can guarantee my DVD/Movie collection (or wall) will impress the hell out of you.

TV: DEXTER (obviously). BATES MOTEL (I made a documentary about the entire PSYCHO series) TWIN PEAKS, THE OFFICE, 30 ROCK, ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT, THE INCREASINGLY POOR DECISIONS OF TODD MARGARET. As a former NY-er, CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM and SEINFELD are pretty spot-on.

Music-wise, I like just about everything. But I have a soft spot for Nirvana, Sunny Day Real Estate, Bayside, David Bowie, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails and 80's tunes. I just started collecting vinyl again, so I go record hunting every other weekend. And I once spent 2 years wandering around Amoeba Music in Hollywood. Err... that's because I worked there for 2 years.

Big fan of things that are edible. And Dunkin Donuts Apple N' Spice donuts. East Coasters, please send some, along with a decent slice of pizza. PLEASE!!!
The six things I could never do without

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
If anyone's actually reading this or has gotten this far?! Or more accurately when the hell I'll be able to get some sleep! I like to keep super busy and productive.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I work hard all week and am pretty exhausted by Friday night, so I like to watch a movie, having a good meal, kick back for a drink or two, preferably with friends. Saturday night's the "go out" night. Once a month on Monday's is karaoke or as my friends and I affectionately refer to it as "Skaryaoke" - get it? Because we all make horror movies? No, it's not because of our singing abilities! Speaking of...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I once publicly sang a Smiths song at karaoke and immediately wanted to beat myself up afterwards for it.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're equally passionate about the things you do.

Are a decent bowler. (Totally optional)

If you like to kick off the evening with a shot of Jameson.

If you like boardgames and you think you can beat me at a game of Battleship, Connect 4 or Monopoly: The Spider-Man edition.

If you'd like to help my christen my DEXTER & TALES FROM THE CRYPT shot glasses.

If watching an 80's comedy or obscure "cult" film on any given night sounds like an OK battle plan for the night.

Or if you're just a nice, sincere decent person!
