Quick-run down:
Born and raised in Pittsburgh
Got my undergrad degrees at Pitt
I have degrees in biology, chemistry, history
Worked at the Pittsburgh Zoo as well as the San Diego Zoo when I lived in San Diego for about 2 years
Recently received my PhD in ecology and evolution

Things about me:
-I used to be an actual professional video game player when I was in high school (don't worry, I barely play any these days)
-I am an avid snowboarder, soccer player, swimmer, and triathlete
-I don't get mad and don't do well with people that are perpetually angry
-I'm a nerd but you wouldn't know it without really getting to know me
-I am slightly addicted to tattoos
-I love a good IPA. Scratch that, I love most craft beers.
-I am fast. To give you a reference point I am somewhere between a snake and a mongoose…and a panther (bonus points if you know where this is from)
-I've never had a salad or coffee
-I won a total of 6 (yes 6... jealous?) baseball trophies as a kid.
-I'm addicted to going to museums and learning as much as I can with the time I'm given on this planet
-I know way more about Star Wars than anyone else I know. If you can show me up in Star Wars trivia we might as well just get married now

Family/friends
Sushi
Comedy/laughing
Nature/animals
Differential air pressure between my lungs and the air around me
Brain activity

Yeah I ran out of things to put down pretty quickly. As it turns out, I can live without most things
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The meaning of life, whether or not ghosts exist, what I'm doing with my life, whether or not any of us truly have free will, why the Steelers feel the need to assert themselves as a run-oriented team when clearly their best assets are their passing options, why people think scientists are boring, how many Earth-like planets are out there, whether it is better to be all theory and no action or all action and no theory, etc
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'll give you a few options. All are equally likely.

At home relaxing from a long week and watching a movie / Netflix
At a bar enjoying some good craft beers with friends
Maybe doing karaoke if I am with other fellow people who don't mind looking stupid
Out on an extremely long hike
At a concert/show somewhere
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
In gym class when I was a kid we played crab soccer and I intentionally kicked the classroom bully in the head. I scuttled away and he never found me.

In third grade, I got into trouble because I brought a condom to school. I thought it was a moist towelette.

My biggest gripe about being on this site is that most women say something akin to 'don't message me with one word/line responses' but then you write nothing of substance for people to comment on...

That being said, I don't message many women on here. I have friends on here and I know how inundated women get with hundreds of messages a week from skeevy dudes trying to get laid. I could care less about that. So instead of my messages falling into the void of your inboxes I'll just bide my time and wait. I personally don't mind being single so I think this is the best way to go about things. If something happens, great! If not, who cares :)

That being said, if I message you, I must have really, REALLY liked what I read.
