My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
You can meet anyone, anywhere. That's my philosophy.

So you're probably curious about the name, and why I even bothered then, right? Well, I'm not pissed off or anything, but I've had innumerable bad experiences here, and I find literally zero appeal in actually using it. But, I don't like to limit my options either.

Anyway, the kind of girl I want should be everywhere. Someone wanting a real relationship and who wants to consider their boyfriend as their best friend. Someone who wants to be in an equal relationship and who likes romantic things to do, like maybe staying in and cuddling or just spending time together any which way. Sit somewhere quiet and talk, share your common interests; you know, just like how you make a real friend. I'd much rather get to know her by talking to her and just hanging out and being natural than these stiff rigid concepts like 'a date, meaning dinner and a movie'. The same thing doesn't work for everyone, and I do not respond well to that situation, personally.

Looks wise, I'm not hard to please. I actually really like glasses, average figure; just kinda that girl you see one day at the library and you want desperately to go up and talk to her, but you don't want to be intrusive.
Hair color, I really don't care, but I do prefer dark brown or black. I like really anything though; if it's real, I like it. Not a big fan of bleached blondes, artificial personalities, breast implants; basically everything that comes to mind when you think "Playboy" is a gigantic snooze-fest for me; dime a dozen. I want a real person, not an object.

I really just want the opportunity to meet someone who I can potentially get along with well enough to move from there. A girl who WANTS to talk to me, not one I have to twist their arm to get a reply from. I've been there enough; I always get too excited and it seems they're never as interested; that's the worst feeling ever.

I'm looking for someone who will just give me a chance. I think that's all everyone really wants.

And finally, my name. It's Justin. Nice to meet you!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I love writing so much. I came up with this parody thing in high school and have spend a lot of my time since then perfecting it since then. I'd love to give anyone a sample of what I'm talking about, because it really is a lot of fun.

In my mind, I love analyzing characters; my biggest notion about writing is simple: "There are no bad characters, only bad writing."

Any character, no matter they're role, personality, affiliation, background, likability, can be interesting solely if they're written well.

The only characters I've found myself ever hating are ones that ironically have no character. Mary Sues, are a great example.

Just like with real people; out of the billions upon billions of humans to have ever lived, each one of them all had a distinct personality, and two have, or will ever be exactly alike... and to capture that in writing; it's just endlessly fascinating to me.

If I don't shave, I look like I'm 16, and I was confused for a girl up until high school... :- ! I'm rather timid, I can get overwhelmed in large social situations if I'm not into it, but as with most introverts, I can relax a little when among close friends or places I feel comfortable. I'm a sucker for cats (though I can like dogs too), and am naturally curious by nature.

I love character driven films or anything else; regardless of genre, some of my top films include (by my favorite actor ever, Al Pacino), Scarface, Carlito's Way, Serpico, Scent of a woman.

(Non Pacino): Back to the Future 1-3, Fight Club, Watchmen, The Road Warrior, Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, Airplane!, The Love Bug (1969 version), and while I don't flaunt it, I do enjoy some anime and manga as well. I try not to judge on genre; if it's good, it's good, who cares where it come from?

Manga: Berserk, being my #1, easily, with nothing a close second, but others Japanese series I enjoy, Rurouni Kenshin (also manga), Fullmetal Alchemist, Yu Yu Hakusho (original Japanese language version, anime), Basilisk, The Law of Ueki, Speed Grapher, and Watamote (No Matter How I Look at it, It's Your Fault I'm Not Popular), and... those are really my tops.

Too nerdy? :P

I don't really obsess over any one medium though. So long as it's good, I can get into it. And I judge solely based on individuality and never lump anything together. I'm not one to say "I LOVE ANIME"; but rather "I like some anime, so long as it's good". Obviously there's some truly awful series out there as well, same as everything else. Good movies, bad movies, books, music, etc. I don't like thinking in black and white extremes of EVERYTHING, because that's not how the world works.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Not making a list... but, stripes. I have a serious affinity for clothing with stripes, and just about everything I own has some sort of stripe on it, be it on the side of my pants, atop a vest, even hidden in a seaming pattern in a leather jacket, to even my favorite pair of sunglasses has a white striping on top. I love stripes on everything. And I don't mean pin striping, simple stripes, just for the hell of having them. I mean, why not?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
In a lot of ways, I really see too much of myself in one of my neighbors' tabby cats, Milo. No wonder why me and the little guy just sit and chill whenever I walk by (at least once a day).

I literally have a cat version of myself, right down the street. Freaky.

In all honesty though, I stop for just about every single cat I see when I'm out and try to elicit a response from them. Most of the time, I make a lot more new little buddies; but not always. Depends on the cat. Seriously though, cats never cease to amaze and/or impress me to no end. They are endlessly fascinating and I don't think I ever won't stop for cats passing by wherever when I'm out.

The more I spend time with them, the more I read up on them, the more amazed I become. They literally are nature's perfectly designed, well-oiled machines.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

Men can be just as emotional, both positive and negative, about relationships, regardless of what gender stereotypes tell you.

And, when browsing profiles, the first thing I look at is a girl's "looking for" section. I want to hope that any girl who I would be interested in, and vice-versa, would be willing to make friends with any guy regardless of location, but, alas, almost 90% of profiles are seeking locality only.
It makes it quite hard to try and message someone then who isn't local, for fear that I'll be ignored.
If I message you and we're not local, and you have it on your profile, it's because I felt too strong a connection to let that deter me.

I do implore more women though to try and keep that as accurate as possible, because it could be only a deterrent to a lot of guys you could like very much to message you in the first place.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
This is a tricky one. Mostly, because I've found most women just don't message guys first. That's just how it is, and sadly, it's probably not going to change anytime soon.
I know I'm not alone here, but I think it would be nice to get a message sometime from someone interested.

Even Okcupid pushes this tired notion of "Girls, just sit back and let them come to you."
I'll tell you this much, if any guy had that same mentality, nothing would EVER happen for him, so, I'm for this mentality for any gender: if you want something (or someone), go for it. Don't *wait* for it to happen; there's no such thing as fate or destiny and you have to do it.

For me, I message girls who genuinely interest me, and are ones I genuinely want to talk to, so I guess that's the closest I can get to this question. If I message you, it just means... yeah, I'm interested in getting to talk to you more and it's an open invitation, and I hope you'll feel the same way too.

And FYI: I am up for long-distance, as, I feel that thinking you're only options for a hook-up are in the same vicinity as you is utterly insane, ESPECIALLY when on an online dating site... where you can talk to anyone regardless OF locale... but, I am a bit wary of it happening as well.
It takes a certain kind of dedication to maintain such a thing. So, if I see long-distance also isn't a problem for you, I will probably message you as well (barring I like the rest of your profile).
But, it takes a lot more commitment; that's for sure.

Because of many bad experiences, I am more focused on locality myself at the moment, but, I still try to remain open to anything.

PS: I have literally no clue where Okcupid pulls out its personality stats. Apparently I have this huge ANTI-PROGRESSION chart, which... I'm all for progressing the progress of mankind, and I thought I answered all questions truthfully... so, I have no idea where that stat came from, even remotely.

Case in point: don't put too much stock in what Okcupid's automated computer tells you about me. Actually talking is a much better way. :)
