My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I can't recall if it was Soren Kierkegaard or Dick van Patten who said "If you label me, you negate me." In either case, over the course of this profile you'll read some things that I think I am, they do not mean anything about my entire being or what I am not. Like you, I am textured. I've lived a long life so far, most of it spent awake. The point of my saying this is that I'm probably interested in talking to you even if you're not like me, possibly even moreso. I am an artistically inclined, ethical guy who strives to live a life free of fear or regret, strives to live it intelligently, and seeks to connect with others to compare notes and notice subtle and glorious beauty in their simple being. You may not be this way, but that does not mean that I can't find something in you to enjoy. Likewise I'm sure I can share things to your delight. There are a multitude of ways to find our potential, and most of them start with hello.

And for the grammar nazis out there, these are not errors you are seeing, they are stylistic choices. I have a recent copy of the A.P style guide, I know the write way to rite.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've got one year left on a bachelor's in Media Arts and Studies from Wayne State. I am producing content whenever I can. I have a few ideas for scripts that I hope to bring to maturation over the course of this coming year. I also enjoy acting and basically every aspect of production work, will do any of that for free, anytime that I'm available. For my dollars I host trivia at some local bars. I exercise between 4-7 days a week, lifting and cardio. I do this for peace of mind as well as maintenance of physical health, it's a treasured part of my routine.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
The English language is a strong suit, I could talk for a half hour about the tattoo on my back and you'd only catch my meaning if I wanted you to. I'm also a decent singer at < 4 drinks. I am strong and can lift heavy things. I can cook under proper direction. I am crazy optimistic, I'll try to be the best at anything.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am ready for the situation, most likely grinning.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
My favorite books are The Illuminatus! Trilogy, everything by Kurt Vonnegut, and most things by Hemmingway, Huxley and Heller. John Updike is a fantastic novelist. I also like Brett Easton Ellis' catalog and Calvin and Hobbes. I should also mention The Once and Future King because username.
My favorite movie is Groundhog Day, first and foremost, likely always. I also love Antichrist and Blue Velvet. I heartily enjoy Blazing Saddles and the work of Wes Anderson. The Signal and Brick are excellent films.
For shows I like The Wire, Portlandia, Arrested Development, Mr. Show, the Boondocks and the Trailer Park Boys.
Musicwise I love every goddamned bit of it, for serious. To me it's about mood and moment, I'm just glad there's enough variety to pretend to keep up with life. My favorite groups are Ween and Radiohead. I have the lyrics to thousands of songs memorized, I am singing practically perpetually.
And for food, meh, whatever seems right at the moment.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Decent physical prowess, internet access, public radio, caffeine, reddit, active people with whom to interact.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Communication and language, freedom, love and sex. Art and glory, unity of consciousness. Adenine, cytosine, guanine, thymine, and Ouroboros. And deadlines, of course deadlines.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hosting trivia at an Elks or Moose lodge and graciously declining their invitations to join for only $50 a year. After that sometimes I'll post up at DonTodd's karaoke night where the drinks are cheap and the singers a sparse for some heavy rotation musical purging. Sometimes I'll even do something that's legitimately interesting, I promise.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I bless Ra, the fiery sun burning bright
I bless Isis-Luna in the night
I bless the air, the Horus-hawk
I bless the Earth on which I walk
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're into producing art of any variety and want to consider collaborating. You should message me if you can dance and would be interested in doing a surrealist music video based on Salome's dance of the seven veils. You should message me if you like talking about logic or terminology or metaphysics or fate, especially if you want to talk about the coexistence of opposites and the power of observation. You should message me if you don't want to talk at all, but communicate with eye contact, gestures, touch and breath instead. Maybe you just want to be friends with a guy who is way out on a limb and possibly be an extra in one of his movies someday.
