My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I love the dickens outta some improv, as well as a good beer. I'm generally very outgoing and friendly. I'm a great listener and would consider myself very accepting and open. I theoretically love to cook, but don't do it much in practice, because I don't like cooking for myself.

I appear to have lucked into having an insanely wonderful and talented group of friends, so I'm most likely hanging out with some of them most nights out of the week; likely checking out an improv show or grabbing a beer somewhere.

Random facts:
-I love cars.
-I love checking out music in the smaller venues in the city (favorite being Lincoln Hall!)
-I kept a list of all of the new-to-me films I saw in 2014 and graded them. (Totaled 157)
-I have an original NES in working condition.
-I'm early to everything. Everything.
-I'm pretty obsessed with photography, and have taken it past "hobby," but nowhere near "profession."
-I love dancing.
-I like escaping the city and going to Wisconsin to pick apples or go for walks or buy good beer and cheese.

Also--My friends were making fun of my old username, so I recently changed it and now realize it could also be construed as super lame. It's a reference to my favorite recent book (Ready Player One--which was already taken).
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Taking some time off from work to figure out what I'd like to do next. In the meanwhile, planning some travel and fun. So far, New Zealand, Australia, and Galapagos are booked with plans for a big US road trip and a month traveling Europe to be finalized later.

Also, as mentioned above, I love improv. I currently have two groups that I play with around town. Nothing beats the rush I get from being on stage with friends making something magical happen in the moment.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Dancing with reckless abandon.
Making people feel good about themselves.
Making people laugh.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Physically, I'd say my eyes.

Personality-wise, the first thing people notice about me is my sense of humor. I'm not afraid to be silly in front of new people; I'd rather we all just have a good time.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: Anything Vonnegut, Bill Bryson, Sloane Crosley, or David Sedaris, The Enders Series, and a random assortment of others. Enjoyed the Hunger Games trilogy as well. Absolutely LOVED Ready Player One, which is the best new SciFi book I've read in years.
Movies: 2014 faves: Her, How to Train Your Dragon 2, Guardians of the Galaxy, Whiplash, Cap 2
Old faves: Everything is Illuminated, 28 Days Later, Batman Begins, October Sky, to name a few.
Music: Pretty diverse. Spotify is my favorite thing. Son Lux, Geographer, Twin Shadow, CHVRCHES. The National, Phantogram. A lot of movie scores (anything Hans Zimmer gets a thumbs up), Sin Fang, MUSE, Purity Ring, Daughter, Passion Pit, JT, Mumford & Sons. The list goes on and is constantly changing.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) Music
2) Animals
3) Cell phone
4) Family
5) Travel
6) My best friend
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The future. Not necessarily the distant future. I'm just a bit of a planner, though I like when people pull me out of that.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At an improv show or perhaps a concert, at a bar, or just unwinding back at home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
When writing To-Do Lists, I often write down things I've already done that morning so that I can feel more accomplished by immediately crossing them off.
