My Notes edit

My self-summary

Hi. I'm InDevious.

I'm a big geek, a frequent smartass, and a surprisingly good listener for someone who's a big geek and a frequent smartass.

I love to have conversations about random topics--Whether I'm learning something new or just having a fun-but-pointless debate, it's still a blast. I also enjoy playing games--particularly role-playing games and geeky boardgames, but I like pretty much anything.

What I'm doing with my life

Right now, I'm working as a cashier at a grocery store. I enjoy dealing with people, and my job basically consists of shooting things with lasers--What's not to love?

I'm really good at

Knowing useless facts
Learning through experimentation and deduction
Games, Puzzles, and Riddles
Seeing and arguing things from another person's point of view

The first thing(s) people usually notice about me

My hair, which can get pretty wild (in the 'bad hair day' sense, not the 'dyed neon purple' sense)

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: I mostly read fantasy novels and comic books. Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman are probably my favorite novelists, while my favorite comic books are usually the super-powered-teenager ones like Blue Beetle and Ultimate Spider-Man.

TV: I tend to like comedic dramas and one-hour comedies, especially those that cater to my interests (i.e. nerdy ones or gay ones). I've also got a soft spot for cartoons, especially superhero cartoons. My current favorite show is Leverage, on TNT.

Music: I don't actually listen to a lot of music, and I don't have a favorite Genre. I listen to show tunes, but that's because I enjoy musicals as a genre of movie or play, not because I enjoy show tunes as a genre of music.

Food: I like pretty much everything. Except Ketchup, which is a horrid waste of a perfectly good tomato.

The six things I could never do without

1) Mi Familia
2) All my geek friends
3) Internet access
4) Dice
5) The Bare Necessities: Food, Water, and Shelter
6) My Imagination

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Books or Movies that I've just watched or read--I tend to analyze them, think about what they did that was especially cool, or what I would have done differently if I were the writer, etc.

Politics, and how much better things will be after I build a giant freeze ray and take over the world.

And so much more...

On a typical Friday night I am

Working, unfortunately. But on those rare occasions when my time off coincides with that of my friends, I like to hang out and play games, or maybe watch a movie.

The most private thing I'm willing to admit here

In sixth grade, I got my head stuck in a chair during math class.

...and still managed to get an 'A'

You should message me if

...Anything you've read in this profile makes you think "Hey, this sounds like an interesting guy".

...You're schedule is as ridiculous as mine is, and you're looking for someone to hang out with at 2am on a tuesday.

...You want to hear horror stories about my bad driving skills.

...You are excited by the fact that "a cowardly and superstitious lot" is iambic pentameter. Or if you even know what either of those things is.
