My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am pretty easygoing, but not frivolous. My favorite people are good at laughing and hugging. I appreciate people who are open-minded and caring.

"It's a magical world, Hobbes ol' buddy! Let's go exploring!"
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Professionally I'm a phlebotomist at the Puget Sound Blood Center.
Personally I'm a friend, brother, cousin, son, uncle, landlord, and nature lover.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Hugging, kindness, laughing, word games, sympathy, sleeping, cooking, skiing, clamming, driving, trivia, science, eating, tickling, drinking, games, and drinking games.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Depending on your angle and my expression, probably either my big nose or my dimples.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Harry Potter, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Power of One, and The Phantom Tollbooth are my very favorites. I usually prefer nonfiction though, especially biology and natural history. I like David Quammen, Stephen Jay Gould, and Bill Bryson.

Movies: I usually prefer lighthearted and funny movies. I especially like Disney and Pixar. Airplane is the best.

TV: My favorite programs are either funny or informative. My two favorite people on TV are Tina Fey and David Attenborough. I can watch reruns of M*A*S*H until the proverbial cows come home. I also enjoy a solid Netflix binge of 30 Rock, Arrested Development, or The Office. Also the West Wing is phenomenal.
I recently started watching QI when I can get it. Stephen Fry is a treasure.

Music: I’m pretty open to enjoying many different kinds of music, and I always welcome more informed suggestions based on what I do like. I’ve always liked oldies. These days I enjoy Mumford and Sons, The Head and the Heart, and Of Monsters and Men, to name a few.

Food: There are very few foods that I don't enjoy. If I had to choose a cuisine to eat for the rest of my life, I would probably pick Thai. I love cooking, and I always like to try new things. Fresh seafood might be the quickest way to my heart.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Lovable people
Harry Potter audiobooks
Cheap sunglasses
Views and smells of the sea
Activity (social, mental, and physical)
Good food
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to make myself and the people I care about happy.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Getting in increasingly boisterous conversations on increasingly specific topics with my increasingly inebriated friends. It's not at all unlikely that I may be found eating a couple of Dick's burgers.

Watching the Sounders if they're playing.

Or falling asleep on my couch while Netflix asks me if I'm still watching.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Every winter I watch It's A Wonderful Life by myself and cry like a baby.
