I'm the second child of a Haitian immigrant mother and Kentucky born father who met in NYC. I was raised to a great extent by my sister and her partner, so in many ways I am a lesbian in a masculine cismale's body.
I'm outgoing and I can get loud at times, but at my essence, I am a kind, empathetic, sensitive, and thoughtful person. Don't get it twisted, I ain't a push-over, but I have feelings and am ok with having them, expressing them, and feeling them. *I am queer friendly.*
I like to enjoy life. To me, that can be doing anything from going to a museum or coffee shop, going hiking or camping or for a walk, scuba diving, playing soccer, making music (I produce and play bass), or just hanging out at the house, watching a movie or TV. I'm pretty open-minded and I like trying new things. I bike a lot, go trail running on the weekends, and typically get a lift in when I can. I'm a very active guy and enjoy spending time outdoors. I don't drink or use drugs. I've been sober for a little while now and plan on keeping it that way. So with that being said I tend to avoid situations that involve hanging out around alcohol or drugs.
What I'm looking for:
There isn't a section for this so I created one. There. Done.
I'm looking for people who aren't afraid to be themselves. (http://blog.oxforddictionaries.com/2013/01/themself/ interesting read haha) Whether that be a friendship, a dating situation, or a long-term relationship. The first time we meet, the first time we message. I want you to be comfortable enough with yourself that your quirks are expressed via written, verbal and non-verbal communication. For me, these idiosyncrasies are what will attract me to you. I am not a fan of the mundane; if you don't think you are an interesting person, why would I? I am not looking to go digging as to what makes you unique or special. Tell me! Sell yourself!
I'm not a huge fan of make up: I think it's great for drawing attention to your best features but I prefer whomever I'm seeing to look the (almost) the same if were going out for an event or waking up next to each other. Be comfortable in your own skin!
