My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
What I'm looking for a relationship that has that 'spark'. I've had the experience a few times so I know it's out there and it should be out there again. To try and describe that, I want for the person I meet to make me feel super-excited to be around them - that electric you feel by just being around someone. Kind of like having way too much coffee. I want to look forward to our conversations and I want to feel like I have to work extra hard to be as awesome as that someone is. I guess I want what was in the Cure* song, The 13th. And I'd really like to avoid Strange Attraction again. :(

Having both a degree in design and one in fine art, and even though my day job isn't as entrenched in these things as it used to be, I still keep my skills up in design, painting and drawing with a variety of creative projects.

I also travel a bit and I predict I'll be traveling a little more in the future. For instance, I'd like to visit my fourth continent either this year or the next and I'll be boning up on my Spanish, so if anyone would like to guess where I'm thinking or would like to volunteer to help me NOT butcher the Spanish language, that would be cool, too!

Who am I searching for? Someone to share in searching out new things, whether that be a new restaurant in Milwaukee, or just a road trip for the weekend. Someone also who would like to get a cup of coffee and talk about the cool stuff we are working on or maybe just go for a walk and take in the scenery. You get extra points if you are interested in architecture, design and more intriguing ways of making the world a better place!
*Full disclosure: I got into the Cure relatively late so I haven't made it all the way through the catalog. I'm much more of Filter fan, and if you are too, contact me right now!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Honing my JCPenney catalog poses. I think I have the casual suit pose down...

Otherwise, I have a few business ideas I'm working on and I paint, as well as working on my MBA... surprisingly they ARE a lot of work.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm really good at drawing, painting and falling off motorcycles. I'm also really good at being an armchair Docent and gambling on Olympic Curling.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The first thing people notice is that I seem to be the sort of fella who would buy stolen goods. Of course the joke is on them as I am not much of a shopper-for-fun sort as well as I can be picky with my fencing tastes ;).

It also seems that people think I know where the drinks are, so I've risen to the challenge - go ahead, ask me where the beer is! I know!

Recently, it seems I look like the sort of person who'd like to buy a Lincoln MKS , and perhaps I would, but not right now.

Otherwise it's probably my glasses.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: Usually, I go for the crappy Thriller/conspiracy books when I'm stuck in an airport otherwise someone gives me good recommendations. I also read a bit of Sci-Fi. The fantasy stuff is not really my cup of tea, I guess leaning toward near future/dystopian instead. Otherwise it's non-fiction, which is obviously not fun to list out, ask me and I'll tell you something.

Music is a very important component of my life. I have very wide ranging tastes, including metal, EDM, punk/post rock, indie, a bit of classical and the stuff that's coming out of the Chicago jazz scene. I'm always on the search for more music.

With that said, here's the music picks: Shellac, Skrillex, Pretty Lights, Debussy, Britten, the Constantines, Stripmall Architecture, Deadmaus, Bottomless Pit, Art of Noise, Filter, Photek, Wang Chung, Machinehead, etc.

Mmm, movies...I'll do the blockbusters or the independents. Some favorites : the Grand Budapest Hotel, Inception, Adjustment Bureau, The Man with One Red Shoe, Wedding Crashers, PI, Sneakers, Tucker, Renaissance, The Quiet Man

Food: I'll go anything really, I have a hard time with German and Japanese food - I'd really like to like them so I'm just hoping that the last 3-4 times for each was just a bad experience ;)

Update: I've now had a number of great experiences with Japanese, so I'm down with that, now, too!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
4. Spell check
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What am I going to do with all these hangers from the dry cleaners...can I give them back? is that weird?

Update: it is not weird to take them back, it seems.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Working on secret projects, like Pinky & the Brain, only taller and just one person.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Having had $3k bottles of champagne, I really like the taste of the sweet (cheap) ones better, like Asti.
