I'm a middle-aged man with a loving memory of childhood, which I am now re-living. I'm direct and honest and loving to a teary-eyed fault. I'm compassionate, sometimes too passionate, always empathic. I'm a gentle soul hiding behind a hard shell. And, I'm fighting like hell to live a life devoted to happiness for me and others.

I am beginning to shift from career-, work-focused machine to open, invisible human being (I've always been one). It is more important to me to spend time with people I care about, doing things that I love than to be focused on the acquisition of accomplishments and material things (I've gotten pretty much anything I've wanted for years). I love being near the sea. I love outdoors and try to live as much outside as possible. I'm driving a convertible, even when it's 40 degrees just because. I'm well-travelled, but have been quiet for some time and want to start traveling more aggressively again. I'm opening myself up to experiences and people like never before and looking for new friends and pals in life's great adventure. I'm ultimately serious about finding a heart and soul that capture mine and bind mine to theirs.

Expressing in words what most cannot. Being a fun, faithful, caring and compassionate companion. Making people feel comfortable.

If not my voice, they probably realize quickly that I look serious, but am a sarcastic sh!t with a sardonic wit ;) A smile.

I'm intermittently addicted to HGTV programming.
I used to be a faithful addict of The Amazing Race (I wanted to run it until it became just another piece of muck in the garbage that is reality TV today. I'd still like to run it with a special person.)
I love to cook and make my own concoctions.
I love music - I love jazz - I love vocalists. Love Brubeck (RIP :( ). I also have a serious thing for 70s soul + R&B.
I don't read as much as I should. I'm getting back to that place as I spend less time focused on working + career.

Could be recuperating from a crazy week - I often like to kick back and listen to music and not do much. Summer time, I'm usually filling up a car and ready to cruise to my Cape get-away.

I'm acting more like a child in middle-age and losing longstanding fears. Or, I have tears in my eyes at sappy Hallmark Channel movies :) You decide which is more tolerable. ;)
