My self-summary
I'm a passionate attorney/film geek/philosopher king. I eat, I write, I drink, and I'm hungry for more.

The only time worth having is a good time. I love to have fun, be it socializing, meeting friends old and new, art, nightlife, design, quiet nights at home, movies, internet, great food, music, museums, watching the sun set and self improvement. I embrace life.

I'm ambitious, selective, outspoken, warm, flirtatious, INSANELY passionate, and like every man ...I want someone who can keep me on my toes... a woman who's beautiful, super cool and smart. Just because a woman is good looking, it doesn’t mean she’s ATTRACTIVE.

Are you more than just a pretty face? If we’re talking QUALITY here, I'm looking for things IN ADDITION TO beauty... things like: integrity, honesty, trust, loyalty, respect, consideration, sense of humor, open communication and good energy.

The last thing I want to do is end up in bed with some girl I don't even like, just because she's hot.

I care about 2 things:

Are you sexy?
Are you fun to be around?

If you are, I'm coming back for more.

Beauty is everywhere... I could meet the most beautiful woman, but if she has nothing interesting to say I’m totally not interested.

I just want to find an attractive woman who’s super cool, genuine and fun to be with. Where things go in 3 months or 3 years - I don’t know. Life can't be planned, it must unfold spontaneously, so BE OPEN.

I love when women are not shy -- I'm open minded so feel free to email me & let's see if we "click".

Who knows? I might like you too. At the very least, maybe we can be friends.

There's a lot more to know and I would tell you more -- but it wouldn't allow me to leave you on the edge of your seat wondering just how awesome I am. lol :-)

Let's talk about it over a glass of something delicious and see where things take us. Life's short, why wait?

Just email me already...
What I’m doing with my life
I'm trying to find new ways to make the most of where I'm at while pondering my next move.
I’m really good at
Procrastination. I check out a profile I'm interested in and not message that person for weeks, months even.
The first things people usually notice about me
No idea; life's too short to worry about what other people think.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I don't know where to begin...

Actually, I do - here's my goodreads profile to give you an idea of what books I like:
It is a bit out of date, but it's good background. My kindle app on my phone has become like book heroin.

The Hunger Games books are a recent guilty pleasure, but mostly, I read nonfiction. I will say that Salman Rushdie, James Joyce, Anais Nin, and Edward Said are favorite authors of mine. I bought Ulysses by Joyce and never got past the first couple of pages. I'm increasingly learning to appreciate American authors too. I'm trying to get into Bukowski. I just purchasedThe Story of O.

More than anything, I like to make fun of the Fifty Shades books or anything written by Ayn Rand ;p

Music - I'm on a real 90s kick right now, especially early 90s, ie. Spin Doctors, Goo Goo Dolls, REM, Gin Blossoms. More generally?
Felix Da Housecat, Swedish House Mafia, Dire Straits, MGMT, Gogol Bordello, M83, Kraftwerk, Techno, House, Electroclash, Trance, Bally Sagoo, Nitin Sawhney, La Roux, Princess Superstar, LMFAO, dhol foundation, afro celt sound system, all sorts of stuff really

Movies - Anything by David Lynch, Party Monster, Videodrome, anything with Jet Li or Bruce Lee etc. I think if I watched every movie in the world, I'd like about 3 movies per one movie I dislike.

Shows - The Wire (possibly my all time favorite), Battlestar Galactica, Scrubs, No Reservations, the ORIGINAL Law and Order (especially the earlier seasons), possibly Portlandia (I've only seen the first episode, and it was hit or miss) to name a few. True crime type shows (especially Investigation Discovery) are a VERY guilty pleasure. I rewatched a lot of Beavis and Butthead recently (even guiltier pleasure I guess).

Food - I'm pretty flexible. I'm not Andrew Zimmern, but I'm adventurous. Vietnamese is good, but I'm really into Korean at the moment.

News - I can't believe this one isn't listed. It's important to me to take some interest in the larger world. Moreover, where you get your news says a lot about you. I listen to a lot of NPR. Vice (VBS) is a new favorite of mine.

NOTE: Chances are if there's something you don't see on here, ASK ME. It's probably a favorite I just forgot to list. Even if you think I never heard of it, ASK ME. I'm always looking for new suggestions
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I like to think about different things - it keeps life fresh. Lately, I've been thinking about the structural similarities between business organizations and organized crime, and whether the latter is a development of the former or the other way around.
On a typical Friday night I am
I don't have a "typical" Friday night - I always like to do something new. What suggestions do you have?

But then again, Friday nights are for going out. All nights are, for that matter - bars, restaurants, and the like are the only things that are open. I think the better question is what we do on our Saturdays and Sundays during the day - thats where we have more options...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Well then it wouldn't be private, now would it?

No, that answer won't do. It's just cheating, hiding behind literalism to avoid saying anything of substance. And on a side note, if you have something like the above witticism in your profile, change it. I know it seems like a sharp reply, but when half the profiles I see on OKC say "i cant tell u cuz it wouldn't be private," maybe it's not such a gem.

But honestly? I think I still believe in happily ever after. Or at least I want to.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 20–50
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You'd love to play a game of cards against humanity.
you find this whole online personals thing really strange and somewhat awkward.
you read all the way through this profile to get here. No cheating!
you just want to. The button's right there, for pete's sake.

NOTE: If you've been to a Tea Party, or are much more conservative than I, know this: you might make a good friend, but that's it. I'm sure you're a great person, but we just won't mesh and the chemistry won't be there.
