My self-summary
Due to growing up in a crazier weather location...my passions are more often indoor activities. Film, music, art. Reading, writing, painting, photography. Intellectual conversation, silly conversation, ridiculous conversation. Quirky off-kilter or stupid humor, life’s eccentricities. I do love nature and being out in it but I'm not the kind of person that needs to be at the ocean constantly in order to enjoy myself. I also, apparently, like to include as many commas in a paragraph as I can.

My sense of humor ranges from playful to sarcastic to off-the-wall and can often finds its way to singing nonsensical songs to my “partner in nonsense” or in a random dance to celebrate the night’s dinner choice.

I love sharing the everyday moments and experiences of life with someone who’s not only my companion but my best friend. Someone who loves to learn from and share with each other every day, while making each other laugh until we literally pee (well…maybe not literally. Or……maybe!). Someone who enjoys going to a new art installation, restaurant, used book store or museum exhibition as much as just sitting around together and doing absolutely nothing but enjoying a good film, listening to a new album, discussing random nonsense or creating a masterpiece…using nothing but our thumbs!

If this sounds like you in any way…send me an email! Or send me a picture of your favorite shrub, streetlamp or……park bench. Your choice!

A few other things I love: thunderstorms, beat poets, trees, doing anything in the rain, the sounds of the city coming in my window at night, the quiet of the forest, the dramatic lighting of a street lamp next to an alley at midnight, zen, used book stores, fog, white noise, abstractness, subtlety, experimental writing, experimental art, experimental anything!, moss, making up words, monty python, black adder, dusk, lighthouses, autumn, falling leaves, falling snow, wandering the city taking candid photos, cabin boy, zach galifianakis, philosophy, dialogue, pop-surrealism, design, art nouveau, art deco, avant-garde, sherlock holmes, victorian england, edward gorey, wallace shawn, klaus kinski, dr. who, arrested development, curb your enthusiasm, burroughs, bukowski, douglas adams, mighty boosh, eastbound and down, architecture, 1970s advertising, history, science, crispin hellion glover, van gogh, andrew goldsworthy, rimbaud, independent, foreign and art house films, sci-fi/fantasy, film noir and classic films, period pieces, documentaries, stupid comedies, animation, and every single form of music from alternative pop-rock to blues, from 50s/60s jazz to bollywood, from classical to new wave, from cantonese opera to 70s funk, from bossa nova to punk and everything in between.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
This is not private in any way...but I wanted to make sure I included it. Although I'm a year and a half into an extremely friendly divorce, it's not quite finalized legally...so I'm still "legally" only separated. It's final and complete from a personal perspective and we live in separate states...but I want to be absolutely candid, as there will be a few months before the legal finalization is complete.
