My self-summary
Hi, I'm Louis, an NYC transplant originally from Ohio (no judging a book by its cover please ;). I moved here in 2007, almost 7 years ago. It's been a wild ride and it's amazing how fast time flies when you're having fun. I've paid my dues, earned my stripes, and working toward the next phase of my career and life.

I'm into art, adult beverages (bourbon, beer, or wine), city parks, coffee, comedy, dive bars, fashion, museums, music, philosophy, photography, reading, road trips, sports (long distance running, college basketball & football, Major League Baseball, snowboarding), tea, tattoos, traveling the world, and outdoorsy stuff like biking, hiking, camping, and boating. I also have a healthy obsession with 90s music & movies.

My life revolves around setting attainable goals, working smart, and playing hard. I am interested in meeting a special lady who is affectionate, supportive, and loyal.

If wit, drive, sophistication, class, and a little nerdiness are descriptive words often used about you, then chances are we will get along really well.
What I’m doing with my life
in five parts:
1) business development in the music industry on Wall Street (best irony ever!)
2) independent record label + music publishing company owner
3) performing solo artist
4) notary public, state of New York
5) TaskRabbit helping out fellow New Yorkers
I’m really good at
following through with commitments, communicating with all personality types, putting life into perspective, and not capitalizing the first word in sentences ;)
The first things people usually notice about me
blue eyes and friendly smile. people have told me on several occasions that I resemble Kurt Cobain, a complement I am flattered to accept.

The six things I could never do without
1) love
2) family & friends
3) music
4) meaningful conversation
5) laughing until I cry
6) parties
I spend a lot of time thinking about
in three parts:
1) how young people in New York City tend to have Peter Pan syndrome (that's why dating is challenging!)
2) the meaning of life (I mean seriously, who doesn't wonder about why we live to work, not work to live in America?)
3) the reality that regardless of elaborate planning or preparedness in life, everything falls into place one way or the other; often for the best -> aka not sweating the small things.
On a typical Friday night I am
checking out a band, catching up with friends, or most likely staying in to catch up on lost sleep from a busy workweek. Actually, my favorite nights to go out, especially on dates, are weeknights:
1) it's quiet so we don't have to yell to each other over the noise
2) there are actually seats at the bar
3) bartenders aren't overwhelmed by crowds so service is way better.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
nada, gotta leave some mystery for later ;)
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 21–35
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
keeping the messaging to a minimum is okay. I would rather meet in person and take the time to get to know you.
