My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I like turtles and being upside down.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Health is my primary focus. I went to school for Bodywork and Massage, and that choice has led me on a journey of self-discovery. While physical health is important to me, I understand that it must be harmonized with mental, emotional, and spiritual health.

I recognize the balance between self-care, and caring for others. I have a deep desire to help the world in whatever way I can, but I also have come to realize that I can't help anyone if I can't help myself.

When it comes to myself, I enjoy physical activities such as stretching/yoga, climbing trees, martial arts, and some gymnastics. I learned how to do a backflip last summer, and it felt amazing to accomplish that which I put my mind to! Doing headstands is also one of my favorite activities, and I especially enjoy doing them on large flat-ish rocks near the beach. What a view! There's just nothing in the world like it.

I exercise my mental health by studying Quantum Physics, and philosophizing with friends. A regular meditation practice keeps my spirits healthy, and every day I learn more about my emotional experience during interactions with the many friendships I share with those in my life. It is a wonderful journey.

With a healthy self-love comes an abundance to share. My service to the world is constantly evolving, but at the moment manifests as sharing my knowledge of Health and Quantum Physics to those that are interested in learning about such topics. I also enjoy teaching how to meditate, how to connect to one's body, and how to guide our emotional journey to feel what we want to feel.

That I like to stand on my head a lot. It's hard to miss, really. I'm also easy to spot in a tree.

Books? I don't read much, unless it's something educational, usually involving topics about Bodywork, Quantum Physics, Spirituality, and Ancient History. However my favorite fictional books are the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Five-Part-Trilogy and Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, both by Douglas Adams. I tend to just re-read those every couple years or so.

Movies: Documentaries mostly, usually involving above said topics. Also movies that make me think about the bigger picture. Man of Steel, The Watchmen, The Matrix, Speed Racer, Vanilla Sky, Inception, The Time Traveler's Wife, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Fight Club, The Nines, Star Wars, The Fountain, Donnie Darko, The Princess Bride, anything by Pixar, anything by Marvel, anything by Miyazaki, anything by Christopher Nolan, The Secret, What the %@$# Do We Know!?, Tuning In, Everything is a Black Whole, Earth: The Biography

Shows... not so much. I haven't had cable in years. But a few of my favorites are Clone High, Sherlock, Game of Thrones, Battlestar Galactica, Farscape, Firefly, ReBoot, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Trigun, Evangelion, Full Metal Alchemist, Attack on Titan, and I'm a Trekkie :D

Games: Mass Effect Trilogy, Assassin's Creed II & IV, Tomb Raider, Arkham City, Street Fighter IV, Star Wars Battlefront II, Mario Kart, Tetris, Megaman 2, Ocarina of Time, Donkey Kong Country, New Super Mario Bros, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Chrono Trigger, Rez, Ikaruga

I enjoy music with soul and a funky rhythm. I used to DJ in the Electronic Music scene in Winnipeg several years back, and have just started playing a few shows around Vancouver. My favorite genres include Funky Breaks, Electro Swing, Trip Hop, and Jazzy Drum & Bass. I have also begun production on my own Electronic Music.

My favorite foods mostly come from Asia: Sushi, Pad Thai, Mongolian Stir Fry, Korean BBQ, Curries. I also like vegetarian tacos & pastas, and am eating a lot more raw vegetables and fruits (than I ever used to).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Trees, Ocean, Sushi, Coconuts, Limes, & Amazing Friends
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
• Life, The Universe, and Everything.
• The nature of Duality, Yin and Yang, Positive and Negative, Light and Dark, Logic and Abstraction.
• How the opposing left and right hemispheres of our brains get along well enough to allow us to function in everyday life.
• Why the platypus lays eggs, even though it's a mammal.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Days of the week have no meaning to me anymore. I go out when I feel like going out, I enjoy peace and quiet at home when I feel I need to do so. I let my life happen as it does, without trying to force it to adhere to any kind of rigid schedule based on a poorly designed calendar.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

• You are seeking a new friend. I definitely won't lie and say I'm ONLY looking for friendship, because who knows what the future will bring, right? But at the moment, friendship is the foremost thought on my mind. I don't want to enter into intimacy without a solid friendship as a foundation. Also, we might prefer to just rock the friendship, as there may not be any relationship chemistry. So, I feel that it's simply best to have no expectation beyond a friendship, and be pleasantly surprised if there is desire by both individuals to later evolve it into a more intimate connection.

• You agree with this quote:
"You don't measure love in time. You measure love in transformation. Sometimes the longest connections yield very little growth, while the briefest of encounters change everything. The heart doesn't wear a watch -- it's timeless. It doesn't care how long you know someone. It doesn't care if you had a 40 year anniversary if there is no juice in the connection. What the heart cares about is resonance. Resonance that opens it, resonance that enlivens it, resonance that calls it home. And when it finds it, the transformation begins..." --Jeff Brown

• This makes sense to you:
demisexual [dem-ee-sek-shoo-uh l] adjective -- Demisexuals are characterized by a lack of sexual attraction toward any person unless they become deeply emotionally or romantically connected with a specific person or persons. The level of connection it takes for sexual desire to form is dependent on how close the relationship is rather than initial attraction. It is an orientation that is not chosen. Demisexuality does not refer to the active restraint or repression of sexual desires or actions.

• You accept and support my choice to practice ethical non-monogamy. I consider myself to be "mostly" single, where my primary relationship in life is the one with myself. I enjoy my independence, but also enjoy sharing my time with others who enjoy their own independence. I simply share my free time with those that wish to share theirs with me, whenever is convenient for both parties.

Please don't mistake this lifestyle choice as me only approaching relationships casually. I want to develop deep and meaningful relationships. However, that takes time -- sometimes an entire lifetime. I hope to have friendships and relationships blossom and grow for all the days that I live. Though I also understand that I can't know the future. I can't know how I will change, or how those in my life will change. I can only live in the present moment, and follow my joy. And I encourage everyone I share my life with to follow their joy, even if that path leads them away from me. I love my friends and lovers enough to let them go, if they believe in their hearts that is what's best for them.

I chose a non-monogamous lifestyle because it matches who I am as an individual. My choice is founded upon personal authenticity and open, transparent, honest communication. I am always willing to answer any questions you may have.
