My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My general philosophy towards life is pretty well summed up by the ever eloquent Mark Twain:

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

I'm on a mission to wring every drop of awesomeness out of life. I'm not interested in a "normal" life, whatever that is. Life is too short to not take advantage of every second.

Life is an incredible thing, and each of us is incredibly lucky to get to experience it. Stop reading for a second and take a deep breath and just let the knowledge that you are a living, sentient being wash over you. Isn't that one of the most amazing things? Feeling alive is something I crave, and I seek it out wherever I can.

I'm a strange cross between a nerd and an adventure junkie. I like to step beyond the edge, explore, and have adventures. I skydive, BASE jump, ride motorcycles, snowboard, rock climb, hike, swim, and swing on ropes and generally try to have as many awesome adventures as possible. When I'm not out and about you'll most likely find me with my nose buried in a book, playing board games with friends, exploring the strange place that is the internet (usually geeking out over new science and tech stuff), having (sometimes deep, sometimes silly) philosophical discussions, cuddled up watching a good movie, practicing yoga, or meditating.

My creative side expresses itself mostly through photography, and also through graphic design, sewing projects, and cooking.

You should also know that I am polyamorous and in two serious relationships right now and I'm very much in love with both my partners, grrrlofyourdream and marastara. They are both polyamorous also and date other people. If you have never heard about polyamory before, or if you have any questions, feel free to message me and ask me. I'm always happy to answer questions.

I'm here to meet interesting and cool people and make connections. I'm not looking for any specific types of relationships. I'm a big fan of just meeting people and seeing what kind of connection we have and how things evolve. It could be platonic friendship, friendship with a sexual component (because let's be honest, every now and again we all want to have some fun sex with a friend we're attracted to and let it just be that), lovers, a romantic relationship, or anything else. It could start as one thing and transition to another, and then back to the first or to something completely different. That's one of the beautiful things about relationships with people. Things are constantly changing and evolving and that's a wonderful thing.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a fine art photographer, wingsuit instructor, and parachute rigger. I'm also involved with a digital women's magazine as a photographer and designer. I'm also always on the lookout for the next adventure or thing for me to try, so if you have something fun you've been wanting to do send me a message and let's go do it!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Jumping off things. Cooking and baking. Having adventures. Sewing. Taking sexy photos of people. Having intellectually stimulating conversations on a variety of topics. Painting my nails. Keeping it fun and laid back.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my nails since they're usually painted.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books- I love reading books and I have so many favorites that it would be hard to list them all. So here's a sampling (in no particular order) of authors whose books I've loved. Neil Gaiman, J.R.R. Tolkien, Stephen King (I am finishing the Dark Tower series and my perspective on Stephen King has completely changed), George R.R. Martin, C.S. Lewis, Michael Crichton, Phillip Pullman, Jules Verne, Jacqueline Carey, Mark Twain, Douglas Preston, Antoine de Saint-Exupery, Douglas Adams, Lincoln Child, Steven Pressfield, Chuck Palahniuk, and Jeffry Deaver.

Movies- If I'm not reading in the evening I'm probably watching a movie. Some favorites include (again, no particular order) Blood Diamond, The Fountain, Avatar, Cloud Atlas, My Fair Lady, Europa Report, Point Break, Pan's Labyrinth, Sunshine, The Lego Movie, Forbidden Planet, The Prestige, Inception, The Princess Bride, Inside Out, Wall-E (And pretty much every Pixar movie.), Alien, Aliens, the original Star Wars trilogy, My Man Godfrey, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Fifth Element, The Dark Knight trilogy, Minority Report, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Pitch Black, Serenity, Unbreakable, and Ben Hur. I think that will give you an idea of my taste in movies.

TV Shows- Battlestar Galactica, Firefly, Archer, Sherlock, Game of Thrones, House of Cards, The Walking Dead, Black Mirror, True Blood, Lost, Castle, Dexter, The IT Crowd, The Office, and Danger 5.

If you've never seen Danger 5 then you should watch the trailer, or just head straight over to Hulu and watch the first episode.

If you like this then I'm sure we'll get along great! If you don't, well, I'm sure we have other stuff in common besides a love of hilariously weird things.

Music- Pretty much anything. From Mozart to Evanescence, Pink Floyd to Deadmou5, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs to Regina Spektor, Queen to Leonard Cohen. What I listen to depends on my mood and what I'm doing.

Food- I love pretty much every cuisine. I especially love pizza, Mediterranean, Indian, Thai, and American Southern cooking.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In no particular order other than number one.

1. Love (and all the people I love)
2. The sky
3. A camera
4. Adventures
5. Books
6. Music
7. Smiles

(Seven is a nicer number than six I think, so I'm going with seven.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How amazing the double decker couch from The Lego Movie would be. I want one so bad! It would be totally rad.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
There is no typical. I could be spending the night in watching movies or playing games, walking the streets with my camera, out at a rock gym, at a bar with friends, practicing yoga, or sneaking into a building so I can jump off it. I just do whatever seems fun on any given day.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I use the word rad a lot. I think it should still be a thing.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You think I seem like someone you'd like to get to know, and you are some combination of intelligent, adventurous, sexy, fun, happy, cute, nerdy, vivacious, bodacious, and/or awesome. You don't have to have some crazy exciting life. I'm just looking for real people who are happy with themselves and with their life and who want new things.

Oh, and please write more than a couple words if you message me. I like to have something to reply to and have an interesting conversation.
