My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Let's see, I am just as comfortable at Fenway with a Red Sox hat as I am at the symphony in a little black dres... Oh wait, that's you.

Who I'm looking for: First of all, you're nice (don't laugh, its rare). Other than that, I don't know, its kind of a when you know, you know kind of thing (you know?) We would have something in common if you like: running, beaches, snowboarding, laughing, good wine, movies (especially indies), seeing some great live music. None of these are a must. Commonality is nice, but it's also nice to learn and grow from spending time with another person.
The best explanation comes from my favorite movie:
"I'm not picky. As long as she's smart... and pretty... and sweet... and gentle, and tender, and refined, and lovely, and carefree…”
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Career-wise, I have a business in partnership with my brother. Real Estate related. Sales, investments, corporate owned. I do the sales/marketing/business development part. He does the actual, well, work. It's been working out pretty good so far! Very challenging and very rewarding at once. I'll tell you all about it sometime.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
My work. Fairly significant career change seven years ago. High-tech in Silicon Valley to Real Estate in the Boston area. Turns out I'm pretty good at it. Who knew?
Let's go with things I like to do. My favorite times are snowboarding out West in the Winter or something involving a beach in the Summer. Wellfleet is the happiest place on earth for me in the Summer. I try to get a run or workout daily (which boils down to 4 or 5 days a week, because, well, life). I coach football and do fundraising for various non-profits when I can.
The first things people usually notice about me

My puckish charm? Tough question. Over time you'll learn that I'm a gentleman. I open the car door, walk street-side, and send flowers on a random Tuesday (even if your not mad at me). But it's not the first thing you'll notice.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Normally I enjoy mystery/detective genre: Robert B. Parker, Dennis Lehane, Lawrence Block.. (Hey, I'm a guy).

Music:
I was filling out a profile once where they asked "If you were to be stranded on a deserted island and could only bring 5 albums, what would they be?" This is kind of a classic question but I've always had an issue with it.
Hmm, let's see:
Them: Hi Scott, we are going to kidnap you and dump you on a deserted island. You'll probably die of exposure or starvation, that's if the cannibals don't get you first. Oh, before we forget, would you be kind enough to choose 5 of your favorite albums that you would like to take with you? Thanks.
Me: Wait, what? Do double live albums count as one or two albums?

I digress, some of my faves:
70's 80's punk (Clash, Ramones, The Jam), current alternative, some rap (not much, but some, Roots, Jurassic 5, Beasties, Kendrick Lamar), Reggae/ska. I like variety in music. Not a big country fan but I did go to a Toby Keith concert once and had a blast, so, who knows.
Top 5 movies:
Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid (see above quote), The Princess Bride, Clerks (guilty pleasure), Rounders, Bull Durham. Honorable mention: Anything with WWII, card games, prison breaks, a good heist or gangsters (you may recall, I'm a guy). I've never seen The Notebook. I'll watch it with you, but I'll have to REALLY like you. I enjoy oldies and indies. Too many to name.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Top 5 lists.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The future. It isn't what it used to be.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hopefully nothing typical!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Yeah, um... no.
