My self-summary
I'm a self-proclaimed "cool nerd." I'm into computers and video games and musical theatre, but I have the social comfort and confidence your traditional nerd is lacking. I will often make random puns/movie/musical references during casual conversation. You must be able to put up with that and preferably laugh at it (even better if you sincerely think it's funny). I like people who can appreciate an intelligent joke and who love to learn as much as I do.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently working most of my time in a retail job in midtown but I pick up lighting and carpentry gigs for private events on the side and my life goal is to someday own my own theatre. I am good with programming and computer stuff too and would love a job where I could use those skills. Planning on heading back to school in a semester or so to finish up my degree.
I’m really good at
Fixing things, especially computer issues. I am very handy with lots of tools and love to take things apart and put them back together. I'm also good at teaching things, and remembering countless random facts. I'm alright at writing poetry if I'm inspired, and I love to write in general. I'm pretty good at making a really fattening-but-good-tasting grilled cheese sandwich. I am also excellent at devouring baked goods (prefer nothing with chocolate but it can be made bearable with a large glass of milk).
The first things people usually notice about me
Tall... maybe? Though not really that tall in actuality. Historically I'm pretty quiet when first meeting new people, but as I get increasingly more comfortable I'm considerably more talkative.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I confess I do not read as much as I could (should?). As a child I loved the Harry Potter series and will often quote the books and movies. The most recent books I read we're The Hunger Games series, and while the writing was meh, I did love the story.

My favorite movies are thinking movies. The Matrix, Inception, Shutter Island are a few that I love but I can appreciate any movie for what it is and give it a fair shot (though I will let you know what I think once its over). As any true nerd I can quote practically all of Monty Python and the Holy Grail (and/or Young Frankenstein). Muppet Treasure Island...is just perfect.

Favorite TV shows include HIMYM, Breaking Bad, 30 Rock, Psych, and several more I know I'm missing. But mostly comedies and dramedies. Recently started watching Dr. Who and am in love.

For music I'm into all sorts of stuff. I can respect pretty much any kind of music but I'm always listening to at least 1 or 2 musicals religiously. Also Jonathan Coulton is amazing, and I enjoy a smattering of the GOOD The Lonely Island songs (same with Weird Al). I appreciate parody music but only when it's done well. Then there's TSO and my favorite band of all time: Queen. Also Journey.
The six things I could never do without
I think I'm pretty resourceful, proud Eagle Scout so I can manage in most any situation, but for the sake of the game...

My phone (mostly just the data connection and GPS)
My music collection and/or Spotify
My Laptop
Netflix

Erm... Maybe ill think of more in a bit ;)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My happiness and where my life is going. Working to find a way out of my retail job and into a "real" job. Asking "can anybody find me somebody to love?" and hoping for companionship. Also looking for awesome friends in the city.
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually chillin' at home or out on some tech job. Otherwise possibly out at a bar or something with co-workers or chillin' out at a friend's house talking about life. That or Netflix.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a lesbian stuck in a man's body. 98% manly and dude, but then 2% of the time (some would argue more) I let an inner girlie-girl out. I mean, I sing musical theatre all the time so there's that strike against me already...

Also I secretly enjoy "Friday" by Rebecca Black
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 18–27
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, activity partners
You should message me if
If you like to think, learn, laugh, live, and love. Also if you think I'm cute in any possible way, or are a little embarrassed about this site in general and feel like you shouldn't have had to resort to it to find people but are willing to take the chance anyway.
