I am a dog lover. I have 2 great dogs, a 4 year old Boston Terrier named Izzy and a 5 year old Scottish Terrier/Black Lab mix named Johnny Cash. They mean the world to me and I would never give them up.

What I’m doing with my life
I own a financial services firm, focusing on helping Middle
American clients identify and resolve critical financial needs of
which they may not even be aware.
I previously spent time in the Navy as a nuclear electronics technician. When I got out, I came to Jacksonville as a systems engineer working on cancer treatment equipment. Last August I got laid off and instead of going back into the job market, I decided I no longer wanted to work for someone else and decided to go into business for myself. Now, I control my income.

Listening, sharing my feelings about things, and problem solving.
If I put my mind to something, I usually succeed at it.
Anything tech-related is in my repertoire of things I can do. My friends and family usually ask me to fix their broken computers and whatnot. I'm not the best at it or anything, certainly not compared to professionals, but I can hold my own.

The first things people usually notice about me
My love for life. If we're talking physically, I guess people
notice that I look pretty young for my age.
I'm also in pretty decent physical shape. I'm 5'9" and about 175 lbs. Admittedly, I could be in better shape, and as such I have recently started a gym membership, but I don't use it as often as I would like. In fact, there are a lot of things I used to do on a regular basis that I need to get back into. Recently I began attending a weekly volleyball game too. I would really like to do more in the activity department though.
That all being said, I don't feel like there is anything wrong with a relaxing night in, either. There is definitely something to be said for spending alone time at the house with a good movie. Going out to dinner and a movie can be good fun too, but shouldn't be the only date idea ever. I like to go play pool or bowl on occasion as well.

Martin. My favorite single book, however, is Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged. The majority
of my reading is sci-fi and fantasy books, however. I will also

On a typical Friday night I am
Talking to my friends, trying to figure out if anything is going on
worth leaving the house for. I don't have a "typical" Friday night
though really. If something is going on, I might go do something,
otherwise I'll just hang out at the house. I don't HAVE to always
be doing something, but it certainly is nice to have someone to go
out with.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I'll admit anything if you ask. You already know that I'm using the
internet to assist in dating, so that's something.
I'll also admit that I was previously in an unsuccessful marriage. I was married for 3 years, together for 4.5. It ended when I discovered evidence of her affair. I offered to try reconciliation by going through counseling and seeing if there was anything to salvage but she had already decided that it was over and the cheating was her way of letting me know. The day I confronted her was the day she moved out and in with her boyfriend. There's no greater kick in the ego than being cheated on.
