Hmm...about me...
I am happy to do just about anything from go karting, watching a
movie,
gaming,
running around outside playing soccer, going to a
museum, hiking/walking, hanging out
with friends at a bar, or chatting (arguing) endlessly about some
arcane topic. I'm very easy-going generally and always open to
trying new things.
I have a great interest in tons of topics and love a good debate on
almost any issue. On the other hand I could easily quote
The Simpsons,
Futurama or some
Mel Brooks film
for hours and have just as good as a time. I also think of myself
as
romantic and
very
loyal. I am
more than happy to
cuddle on the couch with a beautiful
woman and enjoy it.
Being half Brazilian and half Puerto Rican, I have inherited a love
of
traveling and
visiting places. (Agen, France and Osaka, Japan are fighting for
the top spot.)
I have an unhealthy addiction to
texting, Penny-Arcade and XKCD.
For the psych people out there my Myers-Briggs score is ISFJ.
I am looking for someone comfortable in their own self,
intellectually curious and cute. Humor is also a definite plus. I
value each aforementioned quality in a person equally. I am also
looking for someone I can totally relax around and be myself.
I am currently an
attorney and I love every minute of it.
I get to help a wide variety of people and everyday is something
new.
Listening and doing what I can to help others. Or as Ford Prefect
would put it, I suffer from a swollen empathy gland.
Way too many books to count, but some highlights I suppose are in
order:
A Song of Ice and Fire
Series,
Hitchhiker's
Guide to the Galaxy,
Dante's Inferno,
Dune, anything by
Terry Pratchett
or
Neil
Gaiman,
Good
Omens,
American Gods,
Anansi Boys,
The Brethren,
Watchmen,
Neuromancer,
Lord of the Rings,
Eisenhorn, almost
anything by Dan Abnett, and most Shakespeare, but especially
Macbeth. I
definitely enjoy fantasy/sci-fi, but more importantly I love good
literature.
TV Shows:
The
Office,
30
Rock,
Battlestar Galactica,
Dr. Horrible's
Sing Along Blog,
Supernatural,
Dollhouse,
Buffy,
Firefly,
Angel,
Top Gear,
Futurama,
Arrested Development,
Invader Zim,
Babylon 5,
Samurai Jack,
Dead Like Me,
South Park,
Carnivale,
Rome,
The Simpsons,
Robot
Chicken,
Evangelion,
Cowboy Bebop,
The Daily Show,
The Colbert
Report, and the
BBC. I grew up on a healthy diet of cartoons
and still love em.
As for movies
Master and Commander,
Dark Knight,
300,
2001,
Transformers (Both the original 1984 version and the new ones),
Pirates of the
Caribbean,
Lost in Translation,
Lord of the
Rings,
Ghostbusters I & II (Yes it's true, this man has no dick),
Serenity,
Sin City,
Pulp
Fiction,
Monty Python and the
Holy Grail,
The Princess Bride,
Spaceballs,
Blazing
Saddles,
History of the World
Part 1,
Blues Brothers,
Kill Bill,
Star Trek,
District 9, So many to list, but you
probably have a good idea of my tastes at this point.
For music I can enjoy a ton of different stuff, and my tastes are
fairly eclectic. It all depends on my mood at the time. But
generally my top three are classical, classic rock and
blues/jazz.
Random bands/musicians off the top of my head:
Cat Stevens,
Bombay Dub Orchestra,
Scissor
Sisters,
E.S. Posthumus,
David Arrett,
The Killers,
Led Zeppelin,
Loreena
McKennitt,
Moby,
Nelly
Furtado,
Yoshida Brothers,
AC/DC.
Finally, for food I love
Japanese,
French,
Chinese, and
Mexican cuisine. I could eat sushi all
day.
I am by no means a culinary genius, but I am capable of cooking for
myself. I do make a mean deep dish pizza from scratch.
My smartphone.
The internet.
My books.
A suit.
Some wine.
Holy water. For when the zombies come.
The Law.
Stopping said inevitable zombie invasion.
Hanging out with my friends doing everything from chatting
(arguing) aimlessly, going to a bar, gaming or just relaxing with a
few beers on some couches.
Alternatively sometimes just curling up at home with a book is the
way to go.
I love
physical affection. I don't
know whether it is the Brazilian side of me or not, but when I am
in a relationship, simply holding my hand or giving me a kiss is
worth saying "I love you" a thousand times. It works both ways and
I love giving physical affection.
You should message me if the phrase "The goggles do nothing!" makes
you giggle like an idiot.
And if you love wine.
And If you don't mind a bit of geekiness in your potential
boyfriend.
And if you feel like it.
