"Life is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel, " a thought attributed to Walpole (usually), and that could be deemed a bit too neat and tidy for many but I think nevertheless aptly describes one of humanities great divides ..........those that just live it(i.e. life) and those that are perhaps vainly trying to understand it. I fall into the latter category for the most part. It can be frustrating because at the end there are no definitive answers, only questions.
I try to lead an ethical life and so prefer to lead one based on principle and consistency not impulse and whimsy. I lack the herd instinct and like to reflect a while before making the big choices so that if I am the odd one out at least I will know why.
I like to close my eyes on a windy day and feel the wind rush by and hear it stir the tree branches. See the stars decorate a night sky.I still have a sense of wonder and hope that I always will.Its nice to stop and smell the flowers from time to time.

I despise wanton cruelty but have come to believe it is part of the human condition balanced against the good that we are also capable of.... a dichotomy that is only reconciled through a wide angle lens so to speak.
For me, kindness matters. Honour is a given. Curiious always. To follow that path just to see where it goes is a lifelong addiction. I am shy and reserved at the outset, somewhat socially awkward but easygoing and warm hearted if there is a connection. I am self confident without the attitude. Courteous and civil always. Lifelong learner.

Friends only is ok by me. Ladies choice. Like her to be her own person. Have her own dreams, discovering her world and her place in it. I support that. I call it respect.

We are living books , still being written, some a drama, some a poem, some a mystery. Which one are you?

Sovereignty over my life which is another way of saying whether 6 or 7 or whatever, I am free to make the choices. That is the basis of self respect.

Actually, the very existence of time is debatable ( from either a scientific or philosophical perspective ) but I wish I would never do run out of it(whatever it is!)
