An individual who is currently residing in Bangkok, whilst I pursue
my career opportunities here. This global nomad's pitstops have
included Denmark, Sweden, Singapore, Scotland and England.
Although I miss the seasons and my family in Europe, and I wouldn’t
experience too much difficulty in living and working in a developed
country, I feel a stronger affinity to Asia, … the different
challenges, adventures and opportunities that it presents.
I work in the field of disaster risk reduction (DRR), climate
change adaptation and
future sustainability. I
also have an interest in engendering partnerships between multiple
stakeholders especially the private sector and NGOs.

once we get chatting ... is how completely they underestimated me
or made assumptions about me based on my ethnicity, gender, height
and appearance
How I've yet to master the art of smiling for the camera ... (Hence
I don't like photos of myself, as most of the time, I'm just making
a face and it shows ...)

I'm terribly averse to filling in forms and time sheets and I've
managed to avoid filling these in as much as possible. To a certain
extent, it explains my career path, amongst other things ...
I'm also a bit of a nerd and a sports buff. I'd much prefer to
study a good tourist map and talk about the latest rugby scores and
F1 results, than read glossy women's magazines

you are sincere and unique individual who can comptemplate living
and working in Bhutan or Nepal; you share my concern for the
unsustainable nature of our current consumption patterns, its
impacts on the global environment and consequences for a
sustainable and equitable future; you believe that both individuals
and the corporate sector have an important role to play our future
sustainability; and you are able to transcend your national
origins.
On the lighter side of things, you're a
rugby fanatic who's looking for a
mate to watch live telecasts of test matches in BKK and SGP, you're
a touch (rugby) fanatic looking for a touch game in BKK, you can
appreciate how sublime
roasted vegetables are, you
can do the
gay
gordon and
waltz
and am keen to learn to tango, you love going for film screenings
at the Apex Cinemas (esp
Scala) and House, you love ridges and
would like to do the Chola Lake trek and maybe a short walk along
the Cholatse-Tawche ridge, and you have given much thought and
effort into writing witty profile.
You're looking for a travel buddy. I'm TravBuddy 1971K2
