My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I like adventure...Imagine the lush and humid rain forests of SW Uganda. I'd just been told the standard green mambas speech. "They bite you. You take two steps. You die." The ranger made it clear there's nothing to help you, so really nothing to worry about. On that note, into the jungle we go. Yay! After 3 hours of hiking, I had the thrill / fortune / misfortune of coming between the silverback gorilla and the cubs. There I was pinned against a tree and there he was two feet away staring into my eyes. The park ranger later said good thing he didn't attack, I care way more about him than you. He would do even less than if I were bit by a mamba. Amazing day.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Drinking old Burgundy with good friends, cooking Gumbo with at least 7 proteins, playing pillow forts with my nieces, and super long bike rides to Brooklyn followed by a proper pig out on BBQ ribs and beer.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Traveling lite, not getting sick when abroad, and entertaining myself.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have unusual hazel / golden eyes. I like to say silly things and laugh a lot.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I have read many people who describe this as a first world problem and I guess I kind of agree. I am ok without pretty much every material possession. I hate being bored, so interesting people and experiences.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My next Scuba trip. It was a great summer with some solid diving in the Bahamas, Jupiter Island, and Vallarta. Winter looks awesome too: back to the Bahamas and dry suit diving in Iceland!
