I am Lazy, Awesome, and a Freak....

My Self-Summary

I'm basically awesome. I'm the quiet-intellectual type. I'm an introvert who doesn't mind spending most of his time chillin' out at home or with friends.

I'm lazy and lack ambition, but I'm happy with who I am. Sometimes I feel as though there is some part of my nature that is infinite and desperately needs to be expressed or shared with others, and I often become frustrated when I lack a means to express myself. I usually end up writing poetry.

I can be emo sometimes, especially If I'm lonely or unsure of something, but it's always temporary and can easily be cured with a hug and/or laugh.

I spend a lot of my time: playing guitar (Classical/Acoustic), sleeping, reading, and wasting time on the internet.

I'm also somewhat of a geek, and occasionally enjoy RPGs... (Mostly D&D and Final Fantasy.)

I don't "just love the outdoors," (even though I do appreciate nature/camping just as much as anyone else!) I'm not a particularly active or energetic person (caffeine and sugar rushes notwithstanding.)

What I’m doing with my life

I'm a full-time student at the University of Montana, I'm a junior with a double major in Philosophy (Mostly Plato, Aristotle, and Kierkegaard,) and Classics (Latin, Roman History, Greek Mythology/Drama/Lit.)

At this point, I'm really just enjoying life in general and trying to take advantage of any opportunities I come across to better myself and experience things...

I’m really good at

Making pancakes from scratch ^_^
Playing the same damn songs over and over on guitar!
Being a lazy bastard... (sleeping in, procrastinating, etc.)

The first things people usually notice about me

People say the first things they noticed about me are my long hair and my (extremely blue,) eyes. But who knows what they really notice first?

Maybe it's [my] shapely features, and the way [my] whole face illuminates and sparks come into [my] eyes whenever [I'm] truly interested by a subject and a literal thirst courses throughout [my] body for more. :D

Editors

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books:

Walden, (Henry David Thoreau)
The Spine of the World, (R.A. Salvatore, and ANYTHING else by Salvatore)
Brave New World, (Aldous Huxley)
The Mists of Avalon, (Marian Zimmer Bradley)
The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, (Douglas Adams)
His Dark Materials, (Trilogy) (Philip Pullman)
The Devil's Dictionary, (Ambrose Bierce)
Smith of Wootton Major, (J.R.R. Tolkien)
Pretty much anything, and everything, by Kierkegaard...

Movies:

Monty Python & the Holy Grail, Nightmare Before Christmas, V for Vendetta, About a Boy, Donnie Darko, I Heart Huckabees, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and Alice in Wonderland!

TV:

Don't watch much TV, but when I do it's:
Pseudo-educational (History Channel/Discovery Channel),
NCIS, House, South Park, Futurama, Family Guy etc.

I also enjoy Anime, but not the kind where people "power-up" for 21 minutes for a single punch (DBZ), or where the animation loops (Blue Dragon). The thing I like about Anime, is that it often has more mature themes than standard American cartoons: Deceit, Intrigue, Intelligence = Awesome

Ergo Proxy, Serial Experiments Lain, maybe even Death Note (the first time through anyway...) also a big fan of the Ghost in the Shell films.

Music:

I LOVE Flamenco/Spanish Guitar. Also like lots of Classic Rock and 90s Grunge. I'm not really into country or rap/R&B/Hip-hop that much, otherwise I have very eclectic taste in music.

My current obsession/favorite band is Incendio.

Just a few favorites include:

Andy Mckee, Blind Melon, The Beatles, Jack Johnson, Sublime, Nirvana, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, NIN, and System of a Down

Food:

I like cooking (baking mostly) and basically love all food.

Sushi, Chinese, Mexican, Italian, you name it.

But I LOVE Coffee, Green Tea, Green Peppers, Cucumbers, Bacon, and Cheese.

The six things I could never do without

1) My Computer(s), (desktop/laptops)
2) My Phone, (Blackberry Storm <3)
3) My Guitar(s), (Two Classical, One Acoustic)
4) My Books, (I'm a geek like that...)
5) Bacon, (*see note below)
6) Cheese, (*see note below)

*Bacon and Cheese are more or less my proof that some sort of "God" exists. (And furthermore, that this God-person is Benevolent, Merciful, and Loving... I think.)

I spend a lot of time thinking about

*Eudaimonia, (How do I become the best "me" I can be?)

*Love (What the hell is it anyway?)

*Humans (They're strange creatures indeed...)

*Belief, Knowledge, and Truth. (In either an Epistemological or Pragmatic sense, or Concept qua Concept.)

I'm introspective by nature, I'm constantly thinking of something (Although, it's not always something deep or profound...)

On a typical Friday night I am

thankful another difficult week is over, and usually quite set on the idea of attempting to relax or wind down in any possible way.

If I'm alone, this usually involves a guitar or a computer.
If I'm not alone, it depends on the company I'm keeping ^_^

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

If you want to know something, anything, don't hesitate to ask.

Really. Don't.

You should message me if

----------------------------------------------------

I'm really just looking to make friends and meet new people!

If you want to hang out or think we could have an interesting conversation about something, please message me!

Conversely, if you think (or hope,) that there could be relationship potential (of any kind) between us, please keep the following in mind:

----------------------------------------------------

The only thing I'm really looking for in a relationship is someone with confidence/self-esteem, someone independent and low-maintenance, someone who will be herself, someone who will "want" me, but not "need" me.

I'm sick of unspoken expectations, and beating around the bush in relationships. I cannot be with someone who is completely indecisive or totally submissive. She does not need to be domineering, but she does need to be straightforward, brutally honest, and assertive, if not aggressive.

(The more confident and brutal a woman is, the more comfortable I am with being open and confident with her. I'm dreadfully empathetic: if she's down, I'm down too, if she's confident and happy, I'm confident and happy, If she falters, then so do I.)

I think relationships should be a decision to continue living your life, independent of anyone else, but with a willingness to accept another's faults, to share experiences, to grow and become better people, beside one another.

I find the idea of two people, who are complete and happy on their own, coming together and becoming more than they ever could have been alone, to be much more romantic than "completing each other," or "filling a void."

I'm not just looking to "hook-up", but I'm not exactly looking for "someone to spend the rest of my life with" either, (although there isn't anything wrong with the latter concept, it just seems more hopeful than it is realistic.)

Ultimately, no matter what we have in common or the experiences we choose to share with one another, you have to be alright with "me being me," and with "you being you," even if there is such a thing as "me and you."
