My self-summary

Self-summary? That's incredibly difficult. I'm a guy who wants to experience as much as I can from life, but doesn't want to do it alone. For fun I could be doing something as relaxing as sitting on the couch, watching TV and enjoying a glass of wine to something as thrill-seeking as riding the world's tallest and fastest roller coasters. I love New York City and would like to find somebody who feels the same and would like to join me in discovering everything it has to offer. I greatly enjoy camping and canoeing and many other outdoor activities, but find it difficult to get out of the city and find a place to do them. I drive a Smart car as one way to try and help "do my part". darts, pool, bowling, and waterparks are high on the list too.

What I'm doing with my life

I'm one of those "work in order to live" not "live in order to work" kind of people. I enjoy what I do, but it's not the focus of my life. Work just pays for the things that I want to see, do and experience. I work in the live theater industry and spend a lot of time in Broadway theatres.

I'm really good at

having fun no matter what I'm doing.. being handy.. and making people laugh. There's not much I can't figure out how to build or fix. Home improvement tasks are good times for me. :) As for making people laugh and having fun no matter what I do - it's SO important to let go and realize that life's too short and you need to live in the now because there's no telling what tomorrow is going to bring your way.. Sometimes people just need a little laughter to help them remember that and put everything in perspective.

The first thing(s) people usually notice about me

That's a REALLY good question. I've never asked anyone that before. Maybe you can help answer this one for me. (And still, nobody has..)

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Music? You're going to laugh.. But I listen to Top40/Pop/R&B music. Yeah, yeah, yeah.. Aren't I too OLD for that? I'm not ashamed. It's the music I like. I've dealt with the ridicule for years, so bring it on.. :) Justin Timberlake, Michael and Janet Jackson, Will i Am, Beyonce, Barenaked Ladies, Billy Joel, the list goes on..and on..and on..

I don't tend to read Books very often. I read the news every morning - but sitting down with a book is typically a sure way to put me to sleep. I'm not sure why that is.. It's not because I'm not interested - I just get tiiiirrreeeed when I read.

Food - well. This is a harder one. I'm somewhat a picky eater, but I force myself to try new things as often as possible. Being from the midwest, I'm somewhat a meat and potatoes kind of person. But I love all different types of food. I'd like to take cooking classes in 2009. That's one of my little "mini-goals" in life at the moment.

Movies - I could watch almost anything. Eddie Murphy cracks me up, so typically anything he does is fun to watch.. It could be a comedy.. it could be a thriller, it could be anything.

How about TV shows? - Grey's Anatomy, Amazing Race, American Idol (yup - it's true) Terminator the Sarah Connor Chronicles, House and I've been watching the new Knight Rider, which isn't very good - but I used to watch it as a kid, so I feel some kind of obligation to continue.. Strange..

The six things I could never do without

My best friend, music, intimacy and love (it's okay to put that, right? I mean.. seriously), my sight, laughter and did I mention music? It's amazing just how much music or lyrics can move my soul. It's pretty great.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Why we can't seem to do anything about the fact that we're destroying our planet. (I mean, we're still using cars that run on a GASOLINE?!) Don't worry, I'm not like a pushy "green" demonstrator or anything, but it just seems like a no-brainer, ya know? If we don't take care of it, who's going to? There are SO many things I could write here. We can chat about this question over dinner sometime. There's so much we can talk about! :)

On a typical Friday night I am

still at work? Okay, not really. But there are certainly some nights when that's true. I could be anywhere on Friday night. I'm not a "gotta go out" kind of guy, so I could be at home or I could be bowling or I could be at a bar or I could be at a Broadway show. There's really no telling.

The most private thing I'm willing to admit here

Well, then it wouldn't exactly be private - would it? How about the most "interesting" thing I'd be willing to admit here. I was once the host of a Nickelodeon show called "Nicktoons Summer Jam" and I got paid to play with kids and dump slime over their heads all summer long. It was the best job I think I've ever had..

You should message me if

you're still reading this far down. :)
