I've lived in Lawrence a little over a decade now. In that time a
great many small things have changed, but the big things are still
the same. I'm still introverted, not quite optimistic, but always
holding on to a positive outlook, even though it often gasps for
air and water. In a crowded room, you'll find me brooding in some
corner or near the veggie tray munching carrot after carrot. God
help you if you're the only one in the room with me. In the place
where I drink my coffee, one of the employees has begun to demand
that I tell her one small fact about myself as I order. For me,
this couldn't be harder even if I were Hercules himself. I believe
that someone else will have to be the judge of whether I have
anything interesting to say.

What I'm doing with my life
I'm an Operations Manager and music announcer at Kansas Public
Radio. Otherwise, I do a lot of wishing. Also in the middle of a
life-long endeavor to get my act together.

Perhaps it is my adequately laundered shirts or my ability to make

I read Vonnegut, Hitchens, Dickens (just a little), R. Jordan
(right up until his mysterious death), King, Sedaris, J. Hodgeman,
Forrester and O'Brian (for boats), and a great many more.
