My self-summary
Teacher, illustrator, glasses-wearer. Back in New York City after two years living and teaching in Spain. I love developing lots of creative projects. I've become a social media junkie. I enjoy interviewing people. #Thrive2014
What I’m doing with my life
I work with middle school kids and am rapidly developing my cartooning enterprise. Which one is my side hustle?
I’m really good at
Finding the right moment to break out a split on the dance floor.
The first things people usually notice about me
I wear bowties about as much as Willy Wonka and Bill Nye.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Anything by J.D. Salinger, social psychology (currently reading Nudge) art and design and graphic novels (Asterios Polyp is the best)

Movies: Away We Go, Before Sunrise, Searching for Sugar Man, Silver Linings Playbook, Midnight in Paris, Ruby Sparks

Shows: Rock of Ages, Shrek: The Musical (because my middle schoolers performed it). Still sad that Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark has left Broadway.

Food: Lunch specials, specialty sandwiches, Italian, Indian, Thai, Mexican...If I go on any further this will become more of a menu than my online dating profile.
The six things I could never do without
1. Blogging
2. Long hikes
3. Coffee dates
4. Striking up conversations with strangers
5. Attending free lectures
6. Fruit smoothies
I spend a lot of time thinking about
There are so many components of happiness. Can we ever really find them all?
On a typical Friday night I am
At a film screening, museum, out with friends, being reclusive and catching up on projects, on a bus headed on a weekend trip.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I briefly attended clown college in Latin America. They played Sinatra's "New York, New York" as my welcoming theme.
