I am Intellectual, Offbeat, and Surly.

My Self-Summary

Alright, I've realized and accepted that assaulting people's eyes with a massive block of eccentrically written and wordy text (397 words, 1898 characters, 393 spaces) might be a little... Off-putting, perhaps... I'm going to re-write this to be a little more eloquent, and to-the-point.

I am, in general, kindhearted, to a fault at times, it seems. This fact stated, I'm not above dirty tricks, sick jokes, and all around rowdiness, at least with people I'm somewhat comfortable with (or not worried about making a positive impression on).

I'm a gamer, in many ways, I'm best at racing and flying games, but can hold my own pretty solidly on anything else (this polarization is due to amount of time playing each, tons on racing/flying, almost none on much else). I play wow sporadically, runescape too, and prefer the latter in a few cases, I'm not really polarized severely to a specific console or brand, but will point out the failings of each if fanboyed at.

I am an ordained Dudeist priest and a follower of his Noodliness' word. I'm part Dudeist, and part Pastafarian, two religions that make so much more sense, and recommend more peace and acceptance than the big 3.

I have no real clear pictures of my face to avoid stalkers, and those who might be judgmental about looks, I realize that there are those who will pass over my profile as a joke, but I feel that if they're not at least somewhat intrigued, then perhaps I wouldn't be interested in them to begin with.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm working for an eventual masters degree in networking, but I've got an engineers mind, and am comfortable working with metal and wood. My only problem is I didn't get much for math, so while I'm great at the little I do know, I'm at a loss for much beyond the first parts of Algebra 1 due to the school deciding I was... stupid, I guess... I really have little clue...

I’m really good at

Everything I actually put effort into. I'm knowledgeable about computers to an extreme degree, Mechanical things, instruments, and engineering to a solid point, photography and avionics to a point.

I would probably be the one guy on the plane who knew how to fly the thing, and would explain loudly to the camera what exactly is going wrong, and why we're all going to die with a massive splat.

The first things people usually notice about me

My hair if they're at a distance, but if I get too close before they notice my they notice my proportionate size, often by walking straight into it...

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Too many books to list in full, but here are a few:
Guns of the south - Harry Turtledove
The Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton.
Most books by Asimov, Heinlein, Piers Anthony, Terry Pratchett, McCaffrey, Spider Robinson, Mercedes Lackey, hell... you name it.

Movies, I enjoy most Burton films, to a degree. I liked Watchmen, and The Dark Night. On an older note, Reefer Madness, Little Shop of Horrors, The Fifth Element, Christine, SteamBoy, the Tremors movies, The Big Lebowski. Also in here is Wall-e, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Akira, Cars, and Treasure Planet.

Music, there's a subject I could seriously fill a book with. Rock, Techno, Country (to an extent), Disco, Jpop, Funk, Jazz, Chiptune, to be honest, genre isn't as important as the sound.
Music influences on me include Rush, The Flecktones, Weather Report, Apocalyptica, 8 Bit weapon, The Beatles, Satriani, Jethro Tull, etc. the downside is I've not heard of, or heard music from many bands that you might consider contemporary.
In the category of those who've inspired me towards bass include Jaco Pastorius, Larry Graham, Victor Wooten, Stu Hamm, Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller, Flea, and more!

Food, well, I'm certainly fond of the stuff, if I do forget to eat at times. I'm fond of categorically southern style foods and those often grouped in with it (big shock, coming from one raised exclusively in the peach state). Though I'm willing to try anything, and often enjoy it.

The six things I could never do without

Caffeine
books
people
computers
music
dihydrogen monoxide

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Everything, often at once, maybe even two or three of them.

On a typical Friday night I am

At home, bored to tears, doing something mundane to at least make time seem a little faster.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I have growing amounts of gray hair.

You should message me if

you should just message me.... I've gotten 2 messages on this thing that weren't replies, it's getting a little irritating. So please, message me, regardless of intent, or whether or not you think you could stand me/stand a chance with me, I don't care, new people are always welcome.
