My self-summary
Right now, I keep myself busy and I'm always looking towards my
future. When it comes to work and relationships, I don't sacrifice
the long term for the short term. Currently, I'm self employed,
which is excellent because it allows me total freedom and
flexibility with my schedule. I also realize that what I am doing
is not what I want to be doing forever, my real ambition is to run
my own business.
Of course, living only for work is not the right way to live. When
it's time for work, that is my focus. When it's time to play, I let
myself play. Work hard, play hard, right?
I love doing just about anything physical. Biking is great, sports
are great (though I will admit, I'm not in practice with any), and
I love martial arts.
My other major passion is music. I especially love rock
(80's-modern rocks my world, pun not intended) music. If I know a
song that's playing, I'm probably singing along. If I have a song
in my head and the song isn't playing, I'm probably singing. I'm
also teaching myself how to play drums. Admittedly, I'm not very
good at the moment, but some day I do hope to be good enough to be
on stage.
What I'm doing with my life
Building towards my future. Right now that means working where I am
while I get my business profitable. Improving myself thinking, both
towards business and my attitude in general, and improving myself.
I'm really good at
Games and puzzles, problem solving, anything math or logic related.
Give me a sudoku or kakuro (math "crossword") and I'm a happy
camper. I love singing. I'm good with computers. I have a knack for
sports, though anyone in practice will wipe the floor with me. Just
watch out, I have a competitive streak a mile long.
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me
Probably my height. Sadly, it's beyond my control, so I don't worry
about it. I think far too many people put too much emphasis on it.
Truth be told, I'd rather have someone my height than either person
being significantly taller, but I digress.
I tend to speak my mind very directly, so I'll often say the first
thing on my mind, which sometimes gets me into trouble, sometimes
gets a good laugh, but more often than not, it just surprises
people that I'm so open.
Also, I'm in a button up shirt and tie 90% of the time.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
books: I have 2 categories: entertainment and business
Business:
Secrets of the
Millionaire Mind,
Think and Grow Rich,
Rich Dad
Poor Dad,
The Magic of Thinking
Big.
Entertainment: I probably don't read as much as I "should". Some of
my favorites are Orson Scott Card's Memory of Earth Series and
Ender's Game (though I've never read the sequels). Harry Potter was
decent. Right now I'm working on "Atlas Shrugged," at the
insistence of a dear friend of mine. For less "traditional" media,
I love
Fables: Legends in
Exile (comic book series) and
Fate/Stay Night (
visual novel).
Movies:
Eternal
Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and
The Butterfly Effect are
two of my absolute favorites. Some others I like are
Boondock Saints,
Moulin Rouge,
Pirates of the
Caribbean (loved the original, didn't care too much for the
sequels though),
V for Vendetta (I will smack the
next person who says "The comic book was better"), most Jet
Li/Jackie Chan films are pretty good. Just give me just about any
action, comedy, or romance film and I'm good. Horror films are fun
on occasion, if for no other reason than watching those around you
freak out. I also like just about anything by
Miyazaki, such as
Spirited Away,
Howl's Moving
Castle,
Nausicaa of the
Valley of the Wind, and
Princess Mononoke.
Music:
Goo Goo
Dolls are by far my favorite band, but in general I like rock,
pop, and techno, specially 90's and modern rock. Some of my other
favorites right now are 4strings, Deja Vu (the techno cover band),
Duran duran, Evanescence,
Imogen Heap/
Frou Frou, Lifehouse, Linkin Park,
Poe. I recently rediscovered Savage Garden, I wonder why I wasn't
into them back when they were big in the 90s. Right now
Nickelback is coming out
with a lot of stuff I like.
Uverworld is awesome (Japanese rock
group). And recently I've been listening to a little bit of metal
by Masterplan and Dragon Force.
Food: Variety is the spice of life. I'll try almost anything once.
I love cooking for two or more. Cooking for one is more work than I
care for, though if I can cook it, I'd rather try to do that than
go eat out to get it. I love japanese, chinese, indian, thai,
american, korean, italian, mexican. You name it, I love it.
The six things I could never do without
Food, water, air, cloths, shelter, and a place to sleep. Those
aside, friends, internet, car, cell phone, computer, and... uh...
chap stick? I don't "need" a lot, as long as I feel I am doing
something worthwhile and I can spend my time with good people.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to get ahead. What changes I need to make. Who should I vote
for? What should I be focusing on in the short term? What should I
be doing right now?
On a typical Friday night I am
Typical? No such thing. I might be out with a friend, I might be in
on the computer, I might be crashed from the work week.
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here
I'm a bit of a geek. If you really want to know feel free to ask.
Feel free to ask just about anything... within reason, of
course.
I guess this is as good a place as any to say what it is that I'm
looking for.
I love intelligent women. There is nothing sexier than intelligent
conversation, and there are few turnoffs as big as someone who
can't do more than make small talk.
I'm looking for someone responsible, who can communicate well (i.e.
I don't want to find out something I do pisses you off after 6
months of not telling me), and is either independent, on the way to
getting there, or willing to take that step. That means if I have
to answer to your parents' rules, or you don't have a car or some
other way of getting around, nothing's probably going to happen
beyond friendship.
I want someone who will like me and accept me as I am, who will
love me (in due time, of course) and is will willing express and
communicate it (and no, that is not implying sex), respect me as an
equal, and trust me as a partner.
I know it may sound like I'm asking a lot, and that I might sound a
little bit arrogant, but everything I have mentioned in this
section, I fully intend on reciprocating.
And last disclaimer, I don't expect that everyone I talk to is
necessarily interested in a relationship, and I don't expect things
to go straight to relationship with without starting with
friendship. But just to "keep things real," looking for a
relationship, for the most part, is why most of us are here.
You should message me if
If you've read up to here, you should message me.
If you would like me to message you, you should message me, or at
least send a "woo." You could try to give me a 4-5 star rating in
personality and hope that somehow I'll get back to you. Just
something to let me know I wouldn't be wasting my time in composing
a well thought out message. I assume people that look at my page
and don't message me aren't interested, so I typically won't
message in that case.
Oh, and grammar and spelling are great too. I dunt w4nt 2 talk 2 u
if u sp3ak liek th1s.
