My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm pretty scatty, shy in crowds and have fairly shoddy spacial awareness, but I am also friendly, open minded and reasonably good on a dancefloor.

If I like something then I normally love it and when I don't I think I'm better than the average person at convincing other people not to like it either. Fortunately I like most people...and most food. Tenuous link there but it popped into my head and to be honest, my love of food is really quite a major feature of my character. Also fussy eating is really annoying and sad. I wish I could eradicate allergies and convince everyone to eat all the cheese, fruit, veg, pulses and grains that it's possible to eat. And bugs. I'd take that over flying powers.
Edit: Much as some of them scare me, I don't mean I'd eradicate bugs. I think we should all be eating them, although I've not actually started this yet.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work for UoL/NHS doing admin but I spend an afternoon a week volunteering as an art therapy assistant on a brain injury rehabilitation unit. Eventually I hope to do no admin and 5 days of full time working as an art therapist but there's a lot of money to save and qualifications to get before that can happen...or a dramatic and very positive change to the political equilibrium, which I have started spending my free time trying to bring about at a local level.

I'm also supposed to be designing a board game but I got slightly put off by my first draft getting poo-pooed by a table top gaming guru. Apparently 'roll and move' is a bad sort of retro. I dunno though, I still really like Monopoly...
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
dancing with enthusiasm, filling my room with strange things that look nice and making the post-party breakfast. The latter is mostly because no-one else will, but also because I insist on hash browns and get tasty fruit to cover all bases. I am an alright cook though. I bloody love eating so it'd be tragic if I wasn't.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I reckon this is mostly dictated by the observer, and how often first impressions are even accurate I don't know. I'd be much more interested to know what someone's nearest and dearest thought of them really...or at least people who have known the person long enough to have a better idea of what is most significant about them. Basically, I'm not going to dignify this question with an answer! (I'll just write some jumped up crap about perception instead)

His Dark Materials trilogy, I am David, Wicked, Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, Marian Keyes books, To Kill A Mockingbird
This Is England, The Big Lebowski, The Science of Sleep, Eternal Sunshine, Annie, Frances Ha, Spirited Away, 10 Things, A Little Princess, Pan's Labrynth, My Girl, Shawshank Redemption, Return to Oz, Juno
Fringe, Lost, Arrested Development, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad
Mates of State, Those Dancing Days, Regina Spektor, The Shins, The Beach Boys, Final Fantasy, Nick Drake, Joni Mitchell, The Blow, Randy Crawford, Paul Simon. I've been really loving listening to a classical playlist recently too and I really want someone to go to concerts with, other than my uni tutor who occasionally visits from West Wales. Classical music loving Londoners, vamos!
As for food, palm hearts are my weakness but all foods. I'm allergic to eggs though so I shouldn't eat all foods.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
other people, mobility, Spotify, tasty food, some kinda vegetation...I'm not in the least bit spiritual but if there's a soul then green things definitely cleanse it. These are really my only essentials but since I upgraded from a £5 phone to a smart one, I do think it's quite useful :)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Kindness and social responsibility, education policy, decorating, my complete incompatibility with an administration job, how my nephew will grow up, what I want out of life, what I ought to be getting out of it, what I have got and whether I should hold onto it, evolution, food, dancing, painting, friends, family, the beauty of people, the ugliness of people, the beauty of nature... I'm sure there are many other things that cross my mind quite often but I can't think what they are right now. These are things that have occupied my mind in the last couple of days and are pretty frequent features in my thoughts.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I really couldn't say, but a lot of the time what I want to do is hang out on a sofa with good food and easy company but at 27 I find it quite difficult to do that. Friends moan if you miss their birthdays, engagement parties, house warmings, gigs, first this thats and the others... Think I could do with sacking off some of my friends really, they're quite a burden on my free time.

You're that guy I gave a tennis ball to on the Overground recently or someone who knows him. Failing that...

You smile at strangers in the street (not just the ones you fancy), you're friendly, funny, easy going, left-wing and share some things in common with me.

Do not message me if you are topless and posing in your profile picture. I'm sure that eliminates some very nice folk, but it's definitely not my cup of tea.
