I am Kind, happy, and thoughtful.

My Self-Summary

I'm a friendly, happy person, and like socialising and meeting people.

I'm also a bit shy, which I can see doesn't really go with the above statement. But anyway.

I like spending time with friends, shopping, reading, messing about on the internet and pootling round museums and galleries. My favourite is the Natural History Museum - the interior architecture is beautiful, and I have a thing about the old stuffed birds they have there.

I enjoy the outdoors, and I like to be near green spaces, so I can go for walks, runs, picnics, excursions...

What I’m doing with my life

I work as a garment technologist, which I really enjoy. I get to work all parts of my brain - creative, logical, scientific....it's very satisfying.

I love drawing, although I don't get to do enough of it.

I'm trying to teach myself guitar, very slowly.

I’m really good at

Drawing I guess... And shopping. I have many shoes.

The first things people usually notice about me

Probably that I am very quiet.

It doesn't last - once I get to know people I am very chatty!

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I like to read a lot, and usually have a few books on the go. My favourite book is The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins, and my favourite author is Daphne du Maurier.

I'm going through a bit of a non fiction phase right now, and am reading about the Berlin Wall. It's not the most cheerful read though!

I'd love to be one of those people who is really into films and can reel off a load of arty, intellectual films that they last saw. Films for me are more about escaping. I prefer action films and period dramas.

Everyone I've been out with thinks my taste in music is bad. I think I've just been out with the wrong people. Lately, I've been listening to Arcade Fire, Muse, Ladyhawke, The Pixies, Sia and The Standard.

My favourite types of food are Italian, Mexican and Indian, and I always enjoy good British food like toad in the hole and roast dinners.

The six things I could never do without

Books
Music
Friends and family
Something to make my brain work
Greenery - parks, plants, gardens.....anything will do
Laughter

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Whether Custard Creams or Bourbons are the more superior biscuit.

On a typical Friday night I am

Out with friends, in the pub, relaxing at home....

You should message me if

You are funny, witty, and a bit geeky.

You are friendly and like to meet new people.

You would like to help speed up my guitar playing.

Or if you are none of those, but weren't freaked out by the stuffed birds.
