optimist. I see things that others
don't, and I react differently than most people. I'm really polite
and I like to have a lot of fun, so I giggle a lot.

What I'm doing with my life
Currently, I'm a substitute teacher in Fontana, and I'm attending
CSU San Bernardino working on an MA in Education - Teaching English
to Speakers of Other Languages. One day, I'll finish a doctorate.
I'm really good at
Listening to other people, talking things through and coming up
with a plan. Making things better. Celebrating the small victories
of life, like an A on a paper, or just making it to Friday night.
Helping people laugh. Recently, I've been told I'm a great
cook.
Procrastinating. Turning mountains into mole-hills. Challenges, I
like them... bring it on! Make-up artistry. I love helping women
find just the right color for the look they're going for, and the
right shade to bring out their eyes. I love eye makeup! Planning
things, especially my social life... I'm the planner of the group,
and the only person that everyone likes enough to keep in contact
with.

I don't really know, I've never asked. If we meet, please tell me.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I have a hard time choosing which items to include out of the many
things that I am into but short lists include:
Books:
Lord
of the Rings,
Harry Potter & the
_____________ (insert rest of title here), Bless Me Ultima, Calvin
and Hobbes Comics, Jane Eyre, The Count of Monte Cristo, Pocho,
etc. I really enjoy reading, and try to get as many books in as I
can, between all of the reading for my MA.
Movies: Little Big League, The Princess Bride; two specifics. but
really I like most movies if they aren't too violent. I'm very
sensitive to violence and if it isn't necessary to the plot, I get
kinda ickied out about it. Give me a comedy anyday! I also enjoy
movies that make you think; documentaries, foreign films, films
that don't make it to AMC I'm interested in seeing.
Music: I love so many types of music, from
Alternative, to Classical; I like
most of it, and what I don't like, I can usually appreciate.
Lately, I've gotten into some Latin flavors;
Ozomatli, Mana, Los Abandoned. As I get
older I feel the tug of the Spanish language, my heritage beckons.
But I mostly listen to the alternative music scene,
KROQ mostly.
Foods: I like all kinds of food, especially
Sushi, Thai and Italian.
TV: I don't watch it very often, and when I do, it's usually
streaming. But, I do like the X-files, The Closer, Law and Order
(any of them) Malcolm in the Middle... etc. etc.
The six things I could never do without

All of the many things that my professors have assigned for classes
this term. If I spent as much time doing the assignments, as I do
thinking about doing them, I'd be done!
How in the world President Bush was able to stay in the White
House, because really, he shouldn't be.
How public education got as f'd up as it is.
The foundations of our government: why do those Christian Ideals
that our country was supposedly founded on, not apply to the
business world? and the federal regulations that apply to
them?
The value of a human life, and how we measure it.
On a typical Friday night I am

The most private thing I'm willing to admit here
I have cute toes. ::grin:: Which, considering I wear opened toed
shoes everyday isn't very private..
I'm genuinely happy.... Wow.. I'm a happy girl!
Really though, I'll share when I get to know you.
Something private that I'm NOT willing to share is the details of
my sex life. My vagina's business is NOT yours.
