Well, I really like Phantoms by Dean Koontz. I've loved the Eragon series so far. H.P. Lovecraft has written some great stuff (if often difficult to read), and Jim Butcher who wrote the Dresden Files series is great.
The Man from Earth, which is about a college professor that tells his colleagues he's a 14,000 year old man at his going away party is quite interesting.
The old Phantasm series, I can get into nearly anything done by the full moon entertainment production company (even if they are cheesy as all). The Thing.
Seven pounds was amazing, and I remember rather liking Hitch.
Definite fan of Nausicaa and the Valley of the Winds.
The Colony, 80's/early 90's cartoons, anime of many different kinds, Pen & Tellers BullSh*t, Mash, Farscape, Firefly, Tales from the Crypt, Tales from the Darkside, Friday the 13th the series (not gory, more along the lines of the previous 2 shows). UK Kitchen Nightmares, Cold Diggers, Anthony Bourdains No reservations.
I'm into Rock, 80's music, metal. I'm not completely picky but don't really get into heavy rap or country.
Disturbed, Korn, Journey, Styx, Kansas, Anberlin, Trapt, Have liked some of Paramore's stuff, Eminem's, getting into M83 a bit.
