My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm Emily, I'm a 23-year-old senior at KSU, majoring in the noble art of Theatre (read with an exaggerated English accent), and... yeah. This is my online dating profile thingy. Yippee.

Before you read my ridiculously long and mostly uninteresting profile, I recommend glancing over the questions I've answered to get a better sense of my inner workings. If you still think there's a shot after that, feel free to get lost in the sea of Emily-ness below.

So, a little bit about myself...
Oh gosh this is awkward. I guess I could start by saying that, yes, I am an actor. Being an actor, I generally like attention, so in situations where I feel comfortable, I usually attempt to draw attention to myself by telling bad jokes, telling a story that I think is funny, or making sarcastic jokes at another person's expense. Yes, I know, that's mean. But if gets a laugh out of other people, then I consider it a success.
However, if I find myself in unfamiliar company, I tend to be, well... awkward. Incredibly awkward. Don't worry, I'll still try to make whoever I'm talking to laugh, or at least smile, but it will probably be at my own expense, in an attempt to show you that I can indeed laugh at myself, and just how hilarious I really am.
And I talk a lot. Just for the record.

So yeah. Oh, I'm a musician, too. I play flute. Huzzah for music!

Also I'm kind of a Batman geek.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm basically just trying to graduate right now. I've got one semester left, then I'll be out in the real world, finding out first-hand out hard it is to make a living as an actor.
It's terrifying.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being awkward. Sometimes it can be cute, other times it's just annoying.
I like to think I'm good at acting. Maybe?
The first things people usually notice about me

I'm pretty much known for my hair. And my height.

My favorite books... that's hard to pick. My favorite author is Christopher Pike, and he wrote my favorite trilogy: the Remember Me trilogy. Some more favorites by him are the Thirst books. I have to throw the Harry Potter series in there. Amazing books. I basically love any murder/mystery, horror, supernatural books. I have a very morbid sense of curiosity.

I'm perpetually 12-years-old when it comes to television shows. Avatar: The Last Airbender is the best thing to ever happen to TV. Legend of Korra... eh, it has potential. Teen Titans was way up there, too. Also Batman: The Animated Series. When I pretend to be an adult, I'll watch Supernatural, How I Met Your Mother, White Collar, and Castle.

To list a few: RENT, Moulin Rouge, Across the Universe, Star Trek (Abrams' films), Beauty and the Beast, Death Proof... there are more, but it's a long list.

With music, I basically listen to anything except metal, gospel, and country, and most rap. I listen to a lot of Top 40, the current pop stuff, but I love me some good oldies. The Beatles, Tommy James and the Shondells, The Monkeys, all that wonderful stuff.
And I have a lot of movie soundtracks, like Pirates of the Caribbean. I love instrumental music. Some of the pieces from Fantasia are amazing, like Night on Bald Mountain, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, and Rite of Spring.
Oh, and marching band music. I'm always listening to it.

And onto the food. I just like food in general. I'm a sucker for good Italian. And I'm all for some Chinese. But mainly Italian.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

Makeup. No, I'm not vain. I just like to have fun with the stuff. I'm a complete makeup junkie. I'm always playing around and making up different looks.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I try to focus on homework, but my ADD is off the charts, so that can be a challenge.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
If I'm not working at my real job, then I'm in Atlanta doing the Time Warp and working crew for the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I have trichotillomania. Not really a big deal, but I just got to the point where I'm comfortable talking about it.

If you haven't heard of trich before, I invite you to take a peek at this video.
